Though there were many patients waiting for their appointments., the waiting room was set up so that chairs were separated from each other. My info was taken on arrival and once it was my turn to receive the CT scan, I was treated respectively and the procedure went quickly.

I had a breast cancer screening appointment in the afternoon. No, I was not looking forward to having my flesh squished by a machine but I was delighted by the convenient Biltmore location of the office to my home. Everything went smoothly and the conditions seemed professional but I felt strong judgment for being non-white. I observed tense reactions to my friendly smile and greeting while other fairer complected people were greeted more graciously and enthusiastically. It became clear to me that common courtesies were extended to some patients and not to others. I hope my test result is impartial and my fear of unfairness is unwarranted.

The receptionist both were kind to us. The radiologist who saw us was patient with my crying and uncooperative toddler. Finally my toddler calmed down and the radiologist was quick and took the image needed.

The Lady at the front desk told me that I have to fasting then I found out I didn’t have to fasting. Please tell them their job is just to make appointments. Thank You.
