Update: The family health provider, Sherry is the worst person to deal with in this office. And that is saying a lot. She roadblocks & gate keeps everything. She is the opposite of helpful. I watched her berate a 12 year old while we waited. She ordered several unnecessary tests. She wanted her staff to take my son’s blood while he got an EKG. Of course it was abnormal. Duh!!! She also yelled at her MA because he was “taking too long”. (He wasn’t. He was new & no one was training him.) When I asked her about my son’s paperwork, she wanted the office assistant to come “back her up”. All so she could yell at me more. We have also been waiting for their staff to transfer paperwork for 9 months. This has been an absolute nightmare at every turn. The only reason we have stayed was because of my son’s therapist, Marty. He is wonderful. The rest of the staff is unbearable. I can’t tell you to run faster than I am now. This place will give you more mental health issues than you might already suffer from. Don’t waist your time here! I only gave two stars because we genuinely like my son’s therapist, Marty. He’s great. But the rest of the staff/phone system needs serious help. My son has had to go without his ADHD meds several times because they are absolutely delinquent. The phones never work. When I go into the office they tell me “it should be fixed in the next couple of months.” MONTHS!! He even had to take his end of year exams with them. I switched to the family doctor that they have so we would have all care in one place. We all had a bad case of covid. I got a hold of her MA & asked if she could call in a prescription. She said there was nothing they could do. After hounding her more, she got back to me THREE DAYS later & told me I would need to pick up the prescription from their pharmacy. At that point I was already in the hospital. After that I needed referrals for complications I had. They were never called in. If you’re looking for consistency, go somewhere else. These people couldn’t care less if your needs are being met as a patient.
I've had good experiences overall when I have long term providers in place for both therapy and medication maintenance. I give 5 stars for the therapy side. However, there have been prescriber changes for the medication maintenance which have created a lot of stress to sort through. And the last few months, I've no longer had the stability I did with my prior doctor. I am disabled ànd there àre significant complexities due to my chronic illnesses. My medications are a very important part of my overall treatment/condition. I understand there's a steep learning curve for a new prescriber and this is why I must find a stable replacement to manage my medications. In addition, if there's an issue in between visits which requires I contact my prescriber, the system in place is especially challenging to work through. Ànd I'm not àble to speak to my prescriber. Instead, the SBHS protocol requires the patient navigate through two to three steps in order to resolve the arising issue at hand through a random "on-call prescriber" who is not familiar with my chronic condition, and often it has to be explained to the "on-call prescriber" to the extent it may be relevant for the matter at hand. So that process creates a lot of stress. I'm hopeful that once I find the right Prescriber (a good fit) to manage my medications, we can reestablish the stability I appreciated before.
I absolutely love the care that I’m afforded at SWB. I’ve never felt more heard in my life.
Great
I think it's ridiculous that I still don't have a psychiatrist after amendica left quite some time ago
I've been with SWBH since 2003. They helped stay on track with my mental problems. Since Covid , everything has changed. It's hard to get an appt and refills. I don't know where I stand now.
Brandon was a great help, I don't think I'd be able to deal with a lot of the things I do now if it wasn't for him!
Office changes providers too frequently
Thank you.
Great people . Have been helping me since 2015.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
