After two failed shoulder surgeries with a different surgeon, Dr. Hattrup brought my shoulder back to near perfect condition. His PA, Julia, even cleaned up the scars from my previous surgeries. I'm very satisfied with the result. Also, if I ever need another surgery, I'm happily driving across town to get it done at Mayo. They take healthcare to the next level.

I had complete right shoulder replacement 14 years ago. Dr. Hattrup, his staff, and the Mayo Clinic are amazing. I unfortunately need to have another replacement surgery, but I'm so very happy Dr. Hattrup is still in practice!

Now 15 months after R total shoulder replacement, I am very pleased. His evaluation, recommendations, and surgical care were the best, more than I hoped for. As regards outcome, I am pain free(even at 12 weeks!), and able to enjoy golf again. Range of motion is normal, I can sleep without nightime pain. Oh, and I am a retired MD. Dr. Hattrup is the man to see for shoulder problems!

I sought two other opinions for a rotator cuff tendon repair before consulting with Dr. Steven Hattrup. I liked him from the beginning, as he discussed the MRI and the surgery. No pressure from him to conduct the procedure, as after one month with limitations plaguing me in sports, I returned to discuss and schedule surgery. The Mayo Clinic was able to schedule surgery in three days. After three months, I have never looked back, virtually pain-free, as I continue to work PT on my own, and look forward to returning to the tennis courts in three months. I highly recommend Dr. Hattrup.

Being an experienced RN, I diligently work to vet a surgeon before I agree to a necessary surgical procedure. It is always best to know how many of these surgeries the doctor preforms on a regular basis, what is the infection rate and what are the outcomes. You want the surgeon to have performed the procedures frequently, have a low infection rate, especially critical in orthopedic surgery, and of course good results. I did my homework and found that Dr. Hattrup is highly skilled, well respected and recommended by professional staff. He performs reverse shoulder replacements frequently, has a low infection rate and successful outcomes. I found him personable and efficient. I am extremely pleased with the results of my shoulder replacement and four months post-op, I am back to lap swimming, my favorite form of exercise.

I had shoulder surgery done with Dr. Hattrup several years ago and it went so well I never realized how good he really was. I took it for granted that the pain would go away quickly and I would be 100% in a few months. It was a very pleasant experience compared to the stories I have heard since my surgery. Now I'm experiencing major damage in the other shoulder and will have Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement done at the Mayo with Dr. Hattrup, the best surgeon in the field if not the world!

Had rotator cuff surgery about 19 months ago. Complete recovery. I can do any activities I desire and have no pain. Dr. Hattrup and his staff are 5 star in my book. Ned Dolan
