I have been seeing Dr. Iyengar for a number of years, I have the upmost respect and faith in her as a Dr. and as a person!

I absolutely love my oncologist! She’s not only top in her field, but she’s truly compassionate, warm and caring toward her patients. I knew the moment I met her I am in good hands with her and her team!

Dr. Iyengar is one of the most compassionate, caring doctors I’ve ever met. I was diagnosed with terminal late stage cancer a couple weeks ago. While admitted to the hospital, I was introduced to Dr. Iyengar as my oncologist. My sister who was with me at the time also felt I was in the right hands of extremely knowledgeable doctors along with Dr Iyengars team. I couldn’t be more grateful than I am today, being under her care during this trying time in life. My wife has been a patient of Dr. Iyengar for 4 1/2 years. It was terrifying to both of us when we found out that she had breast cancer. Thank G-d we were referred to Dr. Iyengar. She explained the situation to us in terms that we were able to understand. She never sugar coated anything, but still gave us the confidence that we were in good hands. An other doctor that we had been referred to wanted to take the most extreme steps immediately, including radical breast surgery and radiation. Four and one half years later, without those extreme steps, my wife is able to lead a somewhat normal life with chemotherapy three weeks out of each month. I still am scared to death every day of my life but having Dr. Iyengar on the case gives me the confidence that my wife could not be in better hands. In addition, Dr. Iyengar's assistant Sarah is a competent, warm and wonderful person who makes us feel that she genuinely cares. The nurses in the infusion area are also just great.

I am one Happy patient with Dr. Iyengar in my corner. Amazing Dr. Iyengar is a warm, caring doctor. She is quick to explain and answer any and all questions I may have. I can't begin to say enough about her professional demeanor.

As a patient, I am disappointed in how Tara Iyengar treated me. She is the one who informed me that I have the bone marrow disease, Aplastic Anemia which is the reason why my white blood count is so low thus having a weak immune system. I asked for a Dr. note to excuse me from jury duty so I wouldn't have to sit in a crowded room during COVID19 and she told me NO. She said my WBC wasn't that low but it was 2.9 and it was 4.0 four months prior. My anxiety for getting this new virus with my bone marrow disease is hard to handle and Dr Iyengar showed no compassion for my anxiety dealing with my newly diagnosed bone marrow disease and COVID 19 times. Young Tara has a lot to learn about 2 things (aplastic anemia) and (patient compassion).

She is the best. I have been going to her for almost three years now and think she's great. Knowledgeable, caring and has a warm personality. Very responsive.

I can't imagine anyone giving this doctor less than 5 stars, she is very welcoming and personable.

Dr. Iyengar has been amazing since the day my husband was admitted to the hospital. Even when she couldnt start treatment she stopped in to check in him and answer any questions we had. She's been working on a plan for my husband for about a month in coordination with his surgeon. Today we received her plan and recommendations. Although alot of info and feeling overwhelmed, she took the time to listen and answer all our questions. She even said if we have more to contact her any time and she can stop by during treatment to answer our questions. We feel confident and trust her to lead my husbands medical care.

We’ve always had a great experience at Ironwood. The only downfall was with my insurance. Although we live closer to the Ironwood Gilbert office, we came to the Scottsdale Ironwood office because they accepted our Aetna Banner health insurance. I appreciate that the office calls me before my appointments and is able to give me the amount of money that I’ll owe before I arrive. This has been helpful for me and my family to plan for our budget. Dr. Iyengar & Ironwood does everything for you!
