Tatum Eyecare's Online Review Report Card

Good staff and doctors.

A few years ago I purchased a pair of special safety glasses for outdoor use riding my bike. They were the only office that offered this service and I was and still am very happy with my glasses. They saved my eyes from several pebble chips on the road. Recently, I went to my opthamologist(I have a special eye issue) for my eye exam and he gave me a new prescription. I went to Tatum Eyecare and they were able to find the same frame so I ordered new glasses. Unfortunately, the prescription from my opthamologist was incorrect (blurry vision) and Tatum Eyecare said to go back and get retested and they would NOT charge me for the remake!! I did go back the next day and had another refraction/prescription and returned to Tatum Eyecare. However, I still was not sure their Rx was correct so I asked the receptionist at Tatum to check it. They brought our special glasses with my new Rx and sure enough it was still not correct (blurry). At this point, I asked the receptionist if I could see one of their doctors for a refraction. They checked availability and were able to add me to their schedule with a short wait (most offices would have rescheduled). I saw Dr. Wong who was wonderful. She did an excellent refraction and my new Rx is perfect. All I can say is this office is excellent and REALLY understands customer service. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Dr. Wong listened to and understood my situation and went out of her way to help me. As a healthcare professional, I understand great care and offices. I highly recommend Tatum Eyecare and Dr. Wong.

Easy scheduling process and great communication about insurance and appointment reminders. Accept text messages which will include appointment reminders and a link for forms. Very nice location and the office is calming with peaceful pallets of color as a well. Found this provider through VSP after moving to the area. Dr. Wong and her staff are all absolutely fantastic! Everyone was so very professional and all on time. They have a wide selection of frames so beautiful that I selected a beautiful pair of Versace and a pair of Tiffany glasses for reading and work. It is so wonderful to find perfection!

If you are looking for eye wear, look no further than Tatum Eye Care! I highly recommend working with Crystal S. in the optical department for all of your needs. She is always ready to help & really knows what really looks good on every shape face. I have been witness to her above & beyond customer service. She once saved a customer a trip into their Phoenix office and made a personal delivery all the way up in Payson! I always recommend Tatum Eye Care to all of my friends and co-workers.

I was in the area and needed my Oakley sunglasses cleaned and repaired. Crystal helped me right away! If you like Oakleys they have a great selection! I am not a patient but I will now consider changing - and I have used the same eye doctor for 20+ years!

BOOOOOO!!! Bad experience for me after waiting 2 weeks for my glasses. I did not have good vision with the progressive lenses they made for me. I will not recommend them to anyone. BOOOOOO to the old, red-head woman who I dealt with. In my opinion she is talking when she should be listening.

Zip code matters. Look up where your insurance covers in a nice zip code, you might have a chance of actually getting taken care of. They will treat you like just another number.

I would not recommend them for progressive lenses. I had several issues with them. I had them create both progressive lenses and progressive sunglasses lenses for me. One issue I had was the lenses they created weren’t the right size for the frame and it was causing the frame to straighten or bow out. I know this because I brought it to another highly respected company that repairs glasses and that was their prognosis. They showed me what the frames shape looked like with and without the lens inserted in it and it was significantly different . When I brought it to Tatum eyecare for them to fix it their solution was just to come back every so often and have the frames heated and bent back into shape. Another issue I had with the sunglasses was that after 2 years the sunglasses coating on the lens was wearing of.
