List of Toca At Banner Health's Reviews
Front desk ladies are always kind and helpful. Roberts did surgery on my left ankle and I couldn't be happier. He and his PA, Hannah, were responsive, helpful and active through my entire recovery process. I am so thankful for them and highly recommend.
The staff was great with Chris being amazing. They answered all my questions and overall made the experience so much more bearable when I really needed it. Many of the staff truly care about you and wants what’s best. My only complaint is about the pain management. The doctors definitely want you to toughen up!
This place is ok, the front desk is very nice and polite, ladies try to help me all they could today, appreciate the front desk help today, the problem is with Banner Toca phone system representatives they lack coordination with the offices, each office should have an individual phone system, I give bad review because today I call to request again a work absence leave to the "Tempe Toca office",because the doctor receptionist neglected to send it by email two weeks ago when my husband saw the doctor for his spine Doctor Christopher Huston, doctor is ok, but the receptionist and staff lack of coordination, when we finish the appointment we requested the work absence form to the receptionist and she told us she need it to wait because doctor got busy, I ask her if she wanted me to wait, she say that she was going to email us the form because doctor Christopher need it to sign it, we'll they didn't send anything, and today I called to request it again, the lady at the phone told me that the doctor needed to see my husband again, to be able to fill up my request, I explained my husband still in pain and he is unable to drive neither to work because of the pain, So she scheduled me for the appointment today, but she says the doctor was only available at Phoenix Toca, not Tempe, so I did agree to go to this place, well when we arrived we sign in the receptionist told me the nurse practitioner was going to see my husband, I stated no I don't put the appointment and drive almost 40 miles to see the nurse practitioner,to see if she can determine to give my husband a work form leave, neither I'm going to pay more then $220 dollars deductible for something the doctor office neglected to do in first place, the phone operator schedule system should have told me the doctor was on vacation, the front desk was super nice and polite trying to help me, isn't their fault, the phone coordination department is at fault, and the Tempe office front desk is also at fault for their lack of coordination, they have problems even sending the prescriptions, so if you visit Toca Tempe request your printed prescription and wait for any other printed form because after you leave you're going to struggle getting anything by phone, the phone system is terrible and always busy, each Toca should have separate phone system, or they should coordinate better. So we come home very disappointed My husband has a follow up with the doctor in 2 weeks,my husband still in pain, taking all the prescription medication and going twice a week for therapy and he hasn't improved much, unable to work, unable to drive and unable to perform daily activities. An unable to proobe to his employer he has being this sick. Toca Banner do better improve your phone system, and coordinate better in your offices.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS The worst treatment I have ever received. The X-ray tech made my broken hand worse and no one has any level of bedside. They lie about your billing and have no problem being rude about it. Far and beyond the worst medical facility I’ve ever been to.
What a joke worst place I have ever been to for my neck! They are just out for money, getting every penny they can from you and your insurance
The review is going out to the individuals that handle the billing and the office staff in the front, as well as the billing department. The care from the medical professionals I will say is top notch. However the front has no idea what they're doing. I was involved in a motorcycle crash and paid for my services for all my visits out of pocket since they didn't accept my motorcycle insurance as a form of payment. They billed me and I paid for it in full as I left. At no point did they mention that this wasn't the full bill or that I may be charged for other services when I left. I was told that I was current. After my cast was removed and I closed my motorcycle accident claim, they billed me an additional $650 for supposed services that weren't mentioned to me before. In which they are supposed to let me know what my total is before I leave their facility. I asked for an itemized bill and wanted to dispute the charge because this was now over 40% of what my original estimate was. By law they must let me dispute such a charge. I never received a bill, nor did anybody contact me back about the dispute. This bill is now in collections because they dropped the ball and let my account sit. Nobody attempted to contact me after my last contact with them. I now have to come out of pocket for medical expenses that should have been covered under my insurance, and now my credit is now affected because they can't do their job properly. This dispute would've been settled if the requested documents were sent in a timely manner. Not months after I have been healed and closed my claim. Banner you've lost my respect and my business for good. I won't even recommend you to anyone that lives here.
Don't go here! They are very unprofessional and not honest! They are only for money from you and your insurance! Now I have to wait for a good doctor for my neck. They wasted my time and money for a X-ray of my shoulder. I heard a doctor outside the room say he shouldn't have had an X-ray. I'm soo frustrated !!!!
I’m convinced Mr. Edward Stokes is the best cast tech in the world! When I went in for a recast he noticed a bruise just under my right knee from the knee scooter. He didn’t say anything but he made a cushioned lip at the top of my cast to make me more comfortable on the scooter. Thought I didn’t notice, yeah, Stokes?
Dr. Samuel Harmsen MD is great and really helped me with my Shoulder! I recommend him for problems that involve Shoulder injuries. 👍
I had an appointment today and when I get to the clinic. I was told my appointment was cancelled. I got confirmation and paperwork on cell phone the day of the appointment, today. Unprofessional. no courtesy and was not seen.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
