This is just the worst hospital to go to if you have an actual emergency! Horrible doctors , nurses and staff. I went in with what should have been a routine cauterization for a nose bleed but I was ignored and had things shoved up my nose which made everything worse and induced vomiting. It wasn't until I threatened to leave which I was going to, that miraculously an appointment at an ear nose and throat doctor showed up. I had lost so much blood by this point it wasn't even funny. For your own health and safety DO Not Go to This Hospital!!! They'll try to kill you... I'm dead serious!!!
Friendly staff, clean environment. My visit on March 28 was pleasant and Louella and I discussed and implemented a treatment plan in the hopes of resolving what's been going on. However, I was left a bit confused as to next steps if things didn't work as we hoped within the 2 week round of medications that we agreed I would complete. It's now May 24 and I've attempted to reach her multiple times through voice-mail as well as the patient portal to follow up with possible next steps as my condition has not resolved. There's been little follow up communciation with me, certainly not within their 48-72hr window for responding. She has also not answered my follow up questions, simply asking if I'd trialed a different medication which was not discussed as part of the original treament plan during my initial visit. No dosage, frequency, or duration recommendations were given, only asking me if I have I tried taking it. I'm disappointed at the lack of follow up and communication but if these areas could improve, I'd consider returning for future services here.
It's never a nice experience to visit the ER. Aside from that my experience today at the ER was really good. The wait of course is most always long. However, it went very smoothly. I was called for vitals, then for blood draw, then registration, then back to waiting room while my blood results were being tested, then put in cubicle to wait for doctor and results. Dr Mark Lopez was a joy and very informative and the nurses there were friendly and professional.
Under Louellas leadership Yavapai Family Medical is building a genuine, practice for the people, providing quality health care. Highly recommend!
Finally found a good place my kids and I can go to that accepts our insurance. Everyone there is really nice and caring
I had both good and bad experiences here, but I'll focus on the good first. I unfortunately lost my baby at 19 weeks. The nurses in labor and delivery were absolute angels and I hope they all see this. TonyaMarie was amazing and it turns out we have the same birthday! I named my son Light and it turns out her sons name is Light in another language (I can't remember exactly what it was). She was so so sweet and made me feel more comfortable with my stay there. Amy and Jena were so sweet as well. It was pretty late and I couldn't sleep and Jenna (I believe) brought me snacks and was so helpful and prompt when I needed anything. Brenda was so kind and wrote in Light's certificate of birth so beautifully and made us prints of Light's feet. She also called a photographer to come in and do photos of Light for us free of charge. We loved her Irish accent and talking with her!. Thank you to all of you for making such a horrible moment, a little better with your kindness and support! I apologize it took me so long to write this. As for my bad experience... when my water broke we went straight to the emergency room. Diane (Dee?) the nurse wasn't exactly sympathetic or kind in regards to my situation. Upon leaving, she just handed me my discharge papers and said, "good luck". I had just been told my baby was not going to survive and all you can think to say is, "good luck"? Dr. Andrew Shuter was even worse. He literally gave me the knews like he had just told me I had the common cold and walked right out with no further instructions on what to do next. I couldn't even believe how cold this man was. All I have to say to him is: you're a fucking asshole. If you don't have compassion for people, you shouldn't be working in healthcare.
I am a healthcare professional who has been in Prescott area for 14 yrs. My experience with YRMC, both as a former employee and over many years of outside collaborative healthcare completely substantiates the overwhelming opinion that YRMC has a 75 year history of absolutely mediocre healthcare. I do have to give YRMC credit for their cardiology services. However, being treated for anything else is an absolute role of the dice. There is a reason that there are greater than 100 nurses available in this area, but the hospital maintains a 70 plus percent census of travel nurses. Their partnership with dignity health, has done nothing to improve this situation. YRMC is overwhelmingly regarded, by the residents of this area, as providing inadequate Health Care services. They have recently rejected to accept insurance reimbursement from the largest insurance carrier in this area. The insurance carrier states that yrmc is already the fourth most expensive hospital in arizona, and charges more than twice the rate of the average full service hospital in the valley. Bottom line is that wire YRMC is asking for twice the reimbursement for half of the services. YRMC (a County owned and operated hospital) has interfered with the building of a new hospital in this area. They simply do not want any competition. After all, how good do you have to be if you are the only game in town? Brian Petty BSN RN
Been sitting here for 2 hrs. Wife is having difficulty taking a breath . looks like another hour at least. When we came in there were 5 parties waiting. We're down to 3 parties. Can I assume that they don't have enough staff. Probably could have gone to Honor
I had gone to the ER on 2/2023 because I was having pain in my arm from the back of my neck and over my shoulder and down along with a very elevated blood pressure. I am from out of State and a friend of mine that I am visiting had taken me here. At first I thought this was a great place the way they took care of me as soon as i got there. They did a couple of tests put an IV in, incase they to needed to use it. That was painful. I have to say; the girl that had done that procedure was the one whom checked me in when I arrived there at the ER. I don't think she is even registered to do that. She wasn't dressed properly nor did she have a name tag on. In my eyes, this place isn't too professional. Then when i get in the back to see a doctor. It's just a mess back there. Unorganized staff, not ready with wheelchairs. They had me walk to my destination back there for more tests to be done. There were a lot of wheelchairs out front that were all started in a corner that weren't even being used. They should of had some of them in the back for use. The staff was very loud, playing around, eating and drinking near there equipment right in the open where patients can see them. One staff member was throwing some kind of a round candy across the room into another staff members mouth. Very, Very, Very unprofessional. I will never go back to this place again.
Louella, David, Nicole and the entire office are so friendly and amazing! Addressed my concerns and got me in and out promptly.😊 so grateful I found a primary care provider that I feel confident in that I can trust!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
