I would give this doctor (?) a -0 even though I didn't see him or talk to him. His PRE APPT demands were ridiculous and I had a medical billing company and I have never heard that a referral is required from Original Medicare or I haven't heard of a doctor's office requiring a new patient to fill out paperwork in their office before your appt. A visit to the office just to fill out the paperwork. Alot of the doctor's will allow you to take it with you and return it on your appt. Not this doctor!!! This doctor(?) read my previous doctor notes (4 different doctors) and stated he wouldn't help me because I needed surgery. I had recently had pain injection on my right side and just wanted the left side because it had been successful on the right side. What happened Mr Leicht to Dignity's blaring "Human Kindness". That includes what is appropriate care for your patient, did you forget that?

Dr. Leighton didn't seem to have a clue as to what to do for me. He did try spinal injections with steroids to mask my pain. I ended up going to Denver where it was found that I had an incomplete spinal cord injury from vertebral fractures that were slicing across my spinal cord.

I have had three "sets" of spinal injections by Dr. Leicht. He is the first doctor from whom I have actually received relief from constant and chronic back and sciatica pain. The injections actually afford me relief for three to four months without needing supplementation of Motrin 600 mg., or Hydrocodon.
