List of Donald Huang's Reviews
Dr. Huang took out my gallbladder and not only did a fantastic job, but educated me with what I was dealing with. He took the time to explain. This was life changing, I can NOW eat again, drink healthy liquids and be merry! I was not well for 30 years, pain and stomach issues from H. E. L. L. Thank you Dr. Huang, you are an amazing surgeon and so appreciated! Jana Valenzano
Went to see Dr. Huang for a follow up after a surgical intervention on my chest. Very professional and knowledgeable physician, including his office staff, the nurse Irma was also very knowledgeable and compassionate, highly recommend this group for your surgical needs.
My surgery with Dr. Huang and the following recovery is and was one of the worst experiences of my life. I did not recover as quickly as anticipated but instead of working with me through my recovery, Dr. Huang told me to wait two months to call him. Meanwhile my painful recovery has continued. He provided little to no support or advice for my recovery and seemed confident that what he did provide was adequate. Their billing office was inflexible and unfriendly. They were not willing to work with me at all in regards to paying off my bill. I understand that organizations create rules to protect themselves against bad debt, but in every other organization I've worked with, setting up a payment plan is enough to avoid finance charges on the balance of the bill. I understand that this may be the standard for medical practices but that doesn't mean it isn't amoral and reprehensible. A show of good faith should be returned in kind. I was told that the finance charges are there to cover the cost of preparing statements and "handling the debt," which I also understand. What I find hard to believe is that their expenses for handling statements come anywhere close to the hundreds or thousands of dollars they collect in finance charges each month and that there was absolutely no room for flexibility in this regard. People in need of medical attention are desperate and scared. If medical office and their billers don't understand this and aren't willing to work with people who are struggling, then they should close their doors and find another line of work.
I am very impressed by Dr. Huang, I went to him for a port replacement, and after listening to him about the pros and cons about whether I should have a new one or none at all I decided to have my ten year old, nonworking one taken out and end my monthly painful monthly flushing to maintain it's functions. I had very bad veins and had Cancer twelve years ago. I would had my port taken out a long time ago if I knew the odds of it causing blood clots which can cause one to die, or have a stroke. Dr. Huang left it up to me to make my final decision. It was pretty simple to make my decision, after he explained all the details. I could have it done right then and there that same day, under local, but I'm a chicken and he was very understanding. August 2, 2021 I will say "Good By" to my port forever under sedation and Hopefully I'll never have another one!😊. His officer staff was very nice. Everyone was very kind and accepting of my Service Dog, Granite. Thank you, Dr Huang and Your Staff, you assured me I was in Good Hands! Jane Courtland

I need to let people know that the surgery went very well. Dr Huang did a great job and I'm very pleased with the results. My complaint was only about the lack of communication between the office staff and I prior to the surgery.
Staff was respectful to a private condition, treated with utmost respect and some humor. Dr. Huang was very personable, proffesional and knowledgeable. I felt he had an interest to deliver top quality services to resolve my condition. All went according to his consultation and after surgery directions for a succesful result. I am in my mid 60s and this was my first ever surgery, staff and Dr. Huang calmed my fears (plenty) and delivered.
To clear up some of the negative reviews. I have seen Dr Huang twice for different surgical procedures. He is the most compassionate and caring doctor a patient could ask for. He is thorough and explains things clearly. He doesn’t rush into surgery unless it is absolutely necessary. His office staff and surgical team are all top notch individuals. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend him to friends and family and anyone looking for an honest, kind and straightforward surgeon.
After 20 months of multiple daily watery stools, and waiting for several months just to see this doctor, I finally had an appointment with him, for the reasons that my primary care physicians referred me: for a colonoscopy/endoscopy, and gall bladder surgery. During this brief visit, Dr. Huang coldly told me that he “will not do a colonoscopy on you or an endoscopy, or remove your gall bladder. You need to become a vegetarian, go on a diet, lose weight, and exercise.” Then he left the room and closed the room. End of appointment. I witnessed the same level of professional from his staff. He claimed, to me, to be a “Christian” gentleman. Really? I have seen more charity and love at a protest rally.
It took months to finally see this doctor. Then when I do finally see him for the very reasons that my primary care physician referred me to him , for a colonoscopy/endoscopy and gall bladder surgery, he tells me that he “will not do a colonoscopy on you, or an endoscopy or remove your gallbladder. You need to become a vegetarian, go on a diet, lose weight and exercise.” Then he walked out if the exam room and closed the door shut. Thus concluded our visit. Also, I witnessed his staff to display the same level of professionalism. And he claims to be a “Christian”. Personally, I have seen more charity and love demonstrated at a protest rally.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
