Judah D. Pifer's Online Review Report Card

Dr Judah was amazing. I snapped my bicep tendon in half. Judah got me in quick to take a look, he saw i severed the tendon completely and he had me scheduled for surgury within 4 days. Surgury went great. He and his nurses are so nice and kind. Also I have a lot of tattoos and Judah cut the incision in a line that followed my tattoo outlines. So even though he had to cut through my tattoo, He cut and followed the tattoo lines so it heals perfect with no scar through the tattoo. This is something I'm 100% sure normal Dr's don't care about. Dr Judah cares. He is the best. Thank you again Judah!

The worst doctor I have ever been to. He told me he doesn’t do surgery on 70 year olds and sent me away. I have a labreal tear in my hip. The reseptionist, Tammy wanted me to reschedule because I was 3 minutes late. She was very rude.

Dr Pifer replaced my left hip in Nov 2023. I left the hospital with a Staph infection. For a month he did not detect the infection. Only after I ended up in the emergency room with puss flowing out of my leg did he respond.

Dr. Pifer effectively ruined my life in a way that could've been easily preventable. I presented to him only 4 weeks after my fracture and he did NOTHING to realign it or place in the correct position. It had ALL signs to do reduction, which included hyperextension, rotation of at least 10 degrees, shortening and angulation. He sent me away with NO splint, no advice on what to do, and DIDNT EVEN ORDER A CT SCAN OR MRI!?? I USED to be a guitar player and singer songwriter was my #1 passion, since this injury a year ago, I haven't played the guitar because my finger is healed in a malunion, its angled upward severely and rotated. It constantly bothers me and has put me in a major depression. It baffles me someone making as much money as surgeons do can just let someone walk away with zero help. It would've been an easy fix for him, but now I have to live with it. Wrist pain, nerve discomfort, inability to grasp objects properly, can barely type anymore with the way it healed. I would go to Phoenix if I were you and or do not tell him you seen another doctor locally. Overall, I gave him 2 stars because hes a nice guy, I feel he meant WELL. I feel had good intentions but MAN he sincerely lacked guts. He should've had the balls to tell me "hey man, sorry, this is a challenging surgery, Im probably not the best for the job, and you should go elsewhere with someone who has a hand speciality expertise..." but NO he didn't... he told me to live with it, and here I am stuck like this.. Would've been a QUICK and easy fix for a surgeon with hand expertise. He's a FOOT DOCTOR! I dont even know why his blonde front desk staff member made the appointment and said "no its fine, the foot is the same as the hand." NO ITS NOT. Not by any stretch of the imagination you greedy jerks. Just breaks my heart. If I could post pics you would see how hyperextended it is, rotated and shortened... ALL of those factors by way of textbook care require FIXATION.

Repaired my badly broken collarbone. Back to normal and active again.

Was not knowledgeable about hand injuries or properly diagnosing deformity. Told me to use a conservative treatment and hand healed incorrectly.

I have no clue WHY his office made the appointment for my nephew! He is NOT a hand specialist! They should have immediately said call another office. But I think most surgeons will gladly take your money and not refuse a patient coming to see them if they can! He gave him the advice to buddy tape his fingers and it healed with a malunion, maltrotation and hyper extension, causing him constant pain and discomfort in his wrist. He cant play his music anymore and he also can barely type on a keyboard and has trouble. Above all, this could've easily been fixed properly! I wish he had the moral conviction to say, hey, I'm not the best with hand surgery, you should probably see a hand specialist. I specialize in the foot and ankle. Atrocious office staff to even make the appointment.

Dr. Pifer goes above and beyond to provide timely and high quality care. He has treated me for multiple fractures including surgery on my wrist, and I have nothing but positive things to say about him and the entire staff in the office and surgical suite.

Judah never fixed my relatives injury and decided on a conservative approach. I wish he would’ve actually fixed the issue whenever he told him he was a guitar player. Now he has to live with a crooked finger.
