Dr. Anthony Badame's Online Review Report Card

I called Monday at 3:30 to see if they had any last minute openings. The receptionist, Kim, said that their next opening was not until Friday. I stressed to her that my rash/bump comes and goes, and that by Friday it may be too late already. She was very understanding and scheduled me a last minute appt that same day at 4:00pm! I was so thankful for that. Her excellent customer service and friendly personality not only showed through the phone, but even when I arrived. The staff is very friendly, and Dr. Badame is a very genuine and down to earth guy. Will definitely be going back if I ever need to!

If there is a better dermatologist and physician anywhere, they would be hard to find. Dr. Badame is knowledgeable, congenial and a wonderful, caring physician.

I have been seeing Dr Badame for several years. I originally had a benign basal cell carcinoma removed from my neck. He did a complete removal and no reoccurrence since the in-office surgery. He has removed skin keratosis from my face (those big dark spots that you get from too much time in the sun 30 years ago); he addressed a puzzling skin rash in one ear that had stumped by primary care doctor; and each year he checks for signs of skin cancer. He is a quiet, efficient, highly intelligent doctor who you can engage in conversation without feeling awkward. His office staff is a gold star team. Very easy to make appointments. The most I have waited past my appointment time is 10 minutes (only once). I would highly recommend Dr Badame to anyone who needs a competent dermatologist.

Just had my first appointment after moving here from Las Vegas and needed my annual skin cancer check. Loved the office, very friendly staff, on time appointment. I was in/out in 20 minutes. Dr. Badame was very personable, did an extremely thorough check. Was conservative and said nothing needed to be removed today. Because of my history, I've had several dermatologist appointments and can honestly say he was great and referred by a very knowlegable friend here. Many thanks to the doctor and staff.

I have been going to Dr. Badame since I was a kid, and I cannot say enough positive things about him and his staff. The assistants and front office staff are the sweetest and they are very informative and answer with confidence. Dr. Badame has clearly spent time coaching and training them...what a breath of fresh air from other offices where the front office has no knowledge of what the doctor does! Dr. Badame is well-educated, remembers things you tell him, and is very conservative in his approach. I have seen him for moles, an infected spider bite, and most recently, a surgical removal of a cyst on my scalp. The assistant today was so kind when I reminded her of my fear of needles and gave me a squeeze ball. I always leave feeling very well-cared for. If you need a dermatologist, see Dr. Badame. you won't regret it!

Dr. Badame has been my dermatologist for many years. I no longer live in California but when I need dermatological help I'll wait until I am back in town to see him. I will give Dr. Badame and his staff 5 out of 5 stars!

I have moved a decent amount and with moving I have needed to find new doctors in new cities. While living in San Jose for a few years, I found Dr Badame via Yelp and after 5 or 6 office visits, I am happy to recommend Dr Badame and his staff. I had a few in office procedures and each time was as good an experience as could be expected with needles and knives involved. Dr Badame is direct, yet personable, thorough, and proactive in recommendations for care. You can tell he actually cares even if he doesn't pull up a chair and talk about the local news and how your children are doing. If I did not move, I would still be a patient.

Very skilled doctor. Office staff is super friendly.He's constantly booked way in advance for a reason: because he's good. He's always been friendly with me and he sets good limits on his time... some people apparently want to discuss their entire personal histories with him and don't like it when he suggest scheduling another appointment for that. I come prepared with a few quick items to discuss and he's always discussed them with me.

I also found Dr Badame through the Yelp reviews and I have seen him twice since:5 stars for the following reasons:1) Front office nurse has great manners. She greets everyone with a smile and says hi. When she is on the phone, she would say "hello, Mr. X" or "you are welcome, Mrs. Y"2) Yes, the physician assistant would come into the office first, and talk to you about your symptoms and would write the prescription at the end. I don't mind that. The doctor still sees and talks to you in between. The prescription was ordered by the Dr, she just have better hand writing, I am sure. 3) I am a new patient but I got an appointment on the day I called, unlike other dermatolgist who only give new patients an appointment 2 weeks or even one month later or give cancellations only to emergencies.4) Dr Badame does not over medicate you. He is very careful with his prescriptions. On the 1st meeting, he gave me a stronger dose of steriod cream (it costs a lot, but that is not his fault, it's the drug companies). He told me to only put that on once a day.He did a culture at the same meeting, and once he knew that it was an infection, he presribed me anti-biotics and asked me to stop the steriod cream. During our second meeting, the infection has cleared up, and he rewrote another prescription steriod cream for me but is not as potent. (You really don't want to put that much steriod cream on you). I appreciate that a lot.5) The wait for the doctor is never long. I am busy, and he is too. I am in and out of there within half hour of my scheduled appointment. 6) Besides not over medicating, Dr Badame will not ask you back if you don't need to see him again. There are doctors out there who wants to see you just because they can charge the insurance company.... Dr Badame said if I need to see him again, I should call, but the meds he gave me should solve my skin problem. That's it, who wants a revisit if it is not entirely necessary, right?Well, I will be seeing/ paying my co-insurance bill later. Hope it is not too damaging. But again, that is the insurance company's fault, probably not the doctor's.

I am absolutely shocked at the negative reviews. I have to believe that sometimes negative reviews come from generally negative people. You get what you give unfortunately. My advice is to address your concerns with him / his office in person - he actually has signs around the office that state this also. I'm sure he would take it to heart.I've been to Dr. Badame several times for myself and my children. His front office and assistant are very upbeat and friendly. Dr. Badame is extremely professional and you can tell he loves what he does. He's treated our family with respect and is very personable and friendly. I've had nothing but a good experience with him.Thank you Dr. Badame!
