Wasted my time by making me come for an appointment that was told to me was at 5pm my mrs. R as in Roberts. Very unhappy will be finding a new primary care doctor, please review phone call
I went to see Dr Wheeler on the recommendation of another doctor who stated for the problem I have "Dr Wheeler would be the best choice." Maybe at one time; however, between Dr Wheeler and the staff I still have the same problem, wasted 3 hours of a day waiting to see him for about 10 minutes and paid almost $200 for nothing. The surgery coordinator, Vanessa V., spent more time complaining about how much she had to work than actually discussing scheduling surgery, then basically told me I needed to get records to her, even though all previous providers are with Banner so she would have access. When she called to demand (not request) a deposit she tried telling me that once I paid the deposit to Dr Wheeler my deductible would be met which is totally incorrect. After my insurance denied the surgery and Vanessa basically told me nothing could/would be done I spoke with one administrator Deborah G. who doesn't know how the portal works and then when I asked that a peer to peer appeal be done with my insurance for the surgery said "I didn't know that could be done." An administrator in a surgeons office should be familiar with how these things work.I then found the official notes for my visit and was shocked. Almost everything Dr Wheeler documented was wrong. Even if he didn't remember anything we discussed since he didn't bother to take notes, he should have referred back to the paperwork I filled out. For example he documented I came in after a motor vehicle accident (not correct) and that I tried taking a particular medication. Well, I am allergic to it and it was listed in the drug allergies on the same notes. I spoke to a second administrator, Anna D., hoping that she could understand my frustration with the surgery scheduler and the first administrator I spoke to as well as the terribly incorrect notes, instead her attitude was that I was out of line. I was told she "would ask if the doctor would change the notes, but it is his choice." As an administrator it is her place to make sure the physician understands that having correct documentation on file is of upmost importance for many reasons but she apparently doesn't understand that. Finally I contacted the Operations Director over this clinic and let him know about this horrible and ridiculous experience. I had thought my notes would be corrected; however, today is 2/24/22 and the last correspondence I had was 2/3/22 and the notes are still wrong. In the end I feel I dodged a bullet, if the doctor didn't know enough to document correctly, do I want him operating on me? No
This office has been the biggest joke to deal with. I broke my arm 11 days ago and have been calling everyday to try to get the doctors to even call me back to schedule me, fill prescriptions and no response. Only to be hung up on by their front office lady when I told her my frustration about the prescription never being sent days later. 11 days later and I haven't even seen the doctor. I initially saw the doctors PA once for ten minutes, now can't get ahold of him or his MA. Everything they say blames another person or doctor, no one is held accountable or can make a decision much less an appointment. It has been beyond frustrating and seems to be the trend with our messed up medical system
I'm giving Banner orthopedic clinic four stars because the staff is awesome however like the rest of the clinic it's dirty and not being cleaned at all. I am writing this post so somebody will get the idea that nobody's watching the cleanliness of a medical clinic. Secondly, I had my second horrific experience at Banner today But I want to post But if I hear from somebody I will share with them because it Was outside of their Health guidelines and just hard to imagine.
I walked into the office and was pleasantly met by Kristen ( hope I'm spelling her name correctly ). She was nice, helpful, funny, and just a breath of fresh air! I was nervous because this was my first cortisone shot and my threshold for pain is basically zero. Do not like needles. I was directed to a room where I met Ashley, who I absolutely loved! She's a rockstar. So sweet and caring. Dr. Jeffrey L Biehn was wonderful. The shot was over before I knew it! Not a big deal at all. I was so impressed with everyone in the office. They were professional and caring. That goes a long way. I'm glad I found a doctor that I'm comfortable and happy with! Thank you so very much. I highly recommend this office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
