If you are a trans person, I definitely recommend seeing him. Makes the process of accessing HRT as easy as it can be. He is very respectful, kind, and knowledgeable. He doesn't just let you figure out who to call and what to do on your own, he actually gets referrals sent and appointments made on the first visit. After months of searching, I think I finally found the right doctor for me!

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and was told by my primary that I would need to be on insulin. I saw Dr Cook and he reviewed my chart and determined that I didn’t need to be started on insulin at this point. He prescribed metformin, had me check my blood sugars and meet with a dietician. My A1c was 12, three months later it was 7 and most recently it was 6. Dr Cook is knowledgeable, friendly, and highly recommended by me!

My experience with Dr Cook was so satisfying. He did not have me wait any longer than my appointment time, and spent at least 30 minutes with me. He explained all the facets of my condition, gave a thorough physical exam, and gave excellent advice on how to prepare for a procedure that may be necessary. He is professional, congenial and knowledgeable.

Dr. Cook saw me the day after I called Mayo requesting an appointment with an endocrinology specialist to evaluate my glucose intolerance . Dr. Cook was thorough, cordial, took time to explain my lab results, physical exam, and the appropriate treatment, diet and exercise for me. He did not rush, made sure I understood what was going on, and I felt very confident in his expert evaluation. I highly recommend Dr. Cook.

Dr. Cook was the first doctor I have had in 11 years of having Thyroid disease, who took the time to educate me on the half life of my medication. Once enlightened, I can't begin to imagine why no other care taker took the time to do this. Prior to coming to Dr. Cook, another practitioner, had been checking my blood work every 3 weeks, could not get a "baseline," so took me fully off my medication knowing that I would be traveling abroad for 12 weeks. I almost died. So happy to have Dr. C!

I read reviews about Dr Cook and was skeptical about seeing him but I went with my gut feeling and stuck with my appointment with him. I have to say THANK GOD I DID. - My appointment was about PCOS, amenorrhea and weight gain. He is extraordinarily intelligent. He answered all my questions, which was a lot! He took his time, explained everything so I understood. Just OVERALL an amazing doctor. Really happy with him. Side note: He can come off "short" for follow up of labs but he gets down to the point and quick. To me that's what you want!
