Dr. Dohring and his staff went above and beyond to help determine the source of my pain. I appreciate that they didn't jump to surgery, rather they took conservative steps to figure out what was wrong. Everyone has been patient and they take the time to really listen. I couldn't be happier to have found this team to work with and entrust my spinal health to!
Would give them a -5 if I could!!!?? WORST drs office I ever went to in my life! Unprofessional , Uncompassionate, and on top of all that……LIARS!!!!!! Wouldn’t go back to that office if they paid me to go see the doctors there!!!!! After lying about my appt time, had me sit and wait for over 2 hrs till I finally walk out!!!! Originally had a 1:00 appt, they tell me that my appt was at 10:45….can’t see how 1:00 sounds anything like 10:45!!! And ignored me the whole time!!!
Warning….My back was injured at work when cases of guns fell off a pallet and rammed into my back injuring my lower spine. It felt like I was hit by a car. I worked in a warehouse lifting anywhere from 5 to 50 pounds on a daily basis. I went to see Dr. Dohring for the injury and he said I wasn’t injured at work. The pain in my lower back was due to degenerative disc disease. He wanted me to go back To work ASAP and has refused any treatment to help heal my lower spine. He went as far as to accuse me of being histrionic about my pain. I would warn anyone with a back injury to be aware of his inadequacy as a orthopedic back surgeon.
The worst, workers comp doctor will do what they want . Will leave the patient in major pain and cripple.
Traveled from New York for surgery. Dr Dohring had been my Doctor previously. He is compassionate, attentive and informative. I had heard about questionable results in New York so willing to travel for a great Doctor. I had my surgery and was in awe. I had no pain at all, no sore throat and better results than I could have imagined. Thanks Dr Dohring, Bill and all the great staff. Appreciate all of you.
My Doctor was awesome and very knowledgeable and knows her stuff, Beautiful office
Will not work with you, on a workmans comp. Case. I have been out on LOA for 6 months with no pay, insurance Elapsed during that time and he wouldn't even look at my MRI results unless I pay an up front fee of $350 dollars for the appointment witch took about 2 months to get scheduled in for, now that my LOA is up and I'm going to loose my job, house etc. Thanks Don
I've been to 7 other "spine" doctors over the past 18 years. Being told everything from "you're too young to have the problems you have(doing nothing)" to "we'll have to fuse your entire lumbar spine(overkill)". Dr. Dohring was the 1st to listen AND agree with what I wanted to do. He recommended starting with my worst problem & using the least invasive procedure to try for improvement. That made the most sense to me too. There aren't enough stars to rate him and Mr Bill, at Spine Institute of AZ
My first visit at the Scottsdale location. While I have yet to meet the Dr., his front office woman named Rica who greeted me was all friendly till I declined to have my picture taken, i don't feel good and just want to sit down not pose. She says it's required, I tell her use my driver's license......went down hill from there with her - wrong info on copay, got irritated when had to confirm, handed me my inch stack of pre filled out paperwork said change all the dates, would not make eye contac
I came to Dr Dohring with lower back pain that i just could not get to the bottom of the source until the PA Bill sat and listened to me and called it a hip issue not a back issue. He did a quick x-ray and called it a bad hip. I wrestled with this issue for almost 3 years before Bill got to the bottom of it. Fast forward I had the hip replaced with Dr Staples that Bill referred me to and most of my pain is gone. Thanks Bill!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
