Absolutely inconsiderate of their patient’s time

Very disappointing experience with this clinic. We arrived 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment, expecting to complete the paperwork in the clinic. The receptionist gave us the forms to fill out, and my husband was almost finished completing them when my wife was called in. At that point, we were told they would not see her because they felt she was “occupied with other problems” or unwilling to share her medical history—which was completely untrue. My wife asked if we could be given another appointment on a different day, but we were told no—that they would not see her at all. We had paid a $75 advance deposit days earlier, which was refunded, but that does not make up for the experience. My wife had already waited two months for this appointment and was in pain. We had to reschedule once in the past due to a genuine emergency, and it’s unclear whether that influenced their decision. Regardless, this was something we have never experienced at any medical clinic before. Turning away a patient simply for not completing paperwork an hour in advance—especially when we were actively filling it out in the clinic—is extremely disheartening and unprofessional. I would not recommend this clinic, especially for new patients. UPDATE Replying to the reply on my review: Its not true that the person replying to this review says - "your wife indicated she was not comfortable completing the paperwork at that time" If she was not comfortable completing the paperwork, why would she show up for the appointment knowing well enough that she will have to complete the paperwork before the appointment. We had ample time to complete it before she was seen.

Dr. Antonia Teruel is truly above excellence. Her knowledge, skill, and attention to detail are unmatched. Every visit feels personalized, and her genuine care always shines through. The entire staff is just as incredible--warm, professional, and always making you feel comfortable and welcomed. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my care for tmj. This is the only place I'll go! Highly recommend!

I absolutely loved my visit to the office! Dr. Teruel was incredibly quick with the injections, and they didn’t hurt nearly as much as I had anticipated. What truly impressed me was the attention to detail shown by a young lady named CJ who called me to check up on me after the injections. It’s clear that this office genuinely cares about its patients.

The entire staff at the Head Pain Institute are extraordinary!! So kind, patient, cheerful and accommodating: from Shelby booking my first appontment, to the women at the front desk and Mikaela, clinic supervisor. The staff's genunuity is a reflection of Dr. Teruel's gentleness, thoroughness and kindness. I felt I had a thorough examination and she explained everything clearly to me. All treatment costs were shown up front and explained carefully to me, so no surprises. Truly a breath of fresh air in this world of rude, inefficient and ineffective health care clinics!

Dr. Teruel and her staff are absolutely amazing! I visited them with severe jaw pain and popping. They administered injections and prescribed a night guard, and my symptoms have significantly improved! CJ, the assistant, was incredibly helpful. She provided a thorough explanation of how to properly care for the appliance. I had a few questions, and she patiently answered them with professionalism. I highly recommend Dr. Teruel and her team to anyone suffering from TMJ.

I came to this place with a severe tmj problem and headache that won’t go away. I got injections which helped my jaw pain from a constant 10 to an occasional 3-4. I really appreciated Cj calling in to check up every time I had an Injection to make sure I was okay. It was very thoughtful. Dr. Antonia is also very knowledgeable and considerate. She answered all my questions and was very transparent all throughout the treatment.
