My mother lasted here one night, because the INCOMPETENT nursing staff didn't know the difference between a stroke, and someone who was sleepy! They assumed since they could not roust her, that she must be having a stroke (even though vitals were normal), and sent her away to scottsdale osborn hospital without notifying our family! I specifically told the intake case mgr and the dr. about her sundowners and nocturnal activity. Nurses didnt bother to read their notes. Nurses do not do what they say they will, nor when they say they will. The first inept nurse (matt), handed my mom a "big gulp" size water bottle when she asked for a drink. Not only could she not hold it, but he left her in a lying down position to drink from! Have they never helped a stroke victim or an aged person????? Second inept nurse (rosemary) lied about when she would give my mom her medicine and came back 45 min later when my mom was scared to death she had been abandoned. Rosemary accepted no responsibility for her broken promises, and most likely overmedicated my mom, so that she couldnt wake up in the morning! Charge nurse Diana (pronounced DEAnna) said she "wished she had known" about my moms sundowners before making the decision to send her to Osborn. Diana's wish could have come true if intake case mgr and intake dr would have documented all I said about moms condition and then SHARED it! Nice facility, but totally incompetent staff from incoming to outgoing!
Nurses are completely incompetent from intake nurse to charge nurse. Intake dr and case mgr notes are not thorough and are not read by nurses who could then know about patient behaviors. Nurses do not know the difference between a stroke and someone being sleepy. HH needs to hire competent skilled people, not anyone who shows up!
My mom was released yesterday and is back in the hospital today. Severe swelling of her legs and feet. They over worked her and the swelling and low oxygen were present when she left.
No one answers this phone number. What is going on…so unprofessional!
Disappointed experience. My husband was having an outpatient procedure. Our check in experience was less than stellar. The building felt dated, old not well maintained. The registration process was not patient friendly. They had a poster that stated the Patient Access Mission Statement: : "In order to support the financial health of the network we promise to guarantee an exceptional patient experience while educating patients of their financial responsibilities and available resources."We received no education and were required to electronically sign documents we could not see or read. When we asked to be able to review it we were told we would get copies when we were done. How is that right? The waiting area was dark and dingy. On the positive side: The nurses for the outpatient procedure were friendly and welcoming. They were very caring and and answered all of our questions.
My loved one arrived at 5:00pm and we are already working on a transfer out 4 hours later. They assigned him to a room with dirty walls and unrepaired holes where a bulletin board had been. They said the facility took a beating during COVID and they haven't been able to do repairs. How about not accepting patients in rooms that are in disrepair?? After saying they had no other rooms, they moved him directly across the hall to an open room with more holes in the wall!! We were calling for his nurse to no avail for more than 20 minutes. I contacted the house supervisor who told me he forgot to set up the call bell to ring to the nurse. Then the evening medication nurse wasn't wearing gloves while getting patient meds ready. I hope to have him out tomorrow. The other Honor Health facilities I've been to are great. This one is an embarrassment to the entity and unfair and demoralizing to patients.
I was hereLast year in JulyAfter I had a stroke at 34 years oldThe nurses and doctors here were unbelievably nice and very helpful I enjoyed there bistro café also!! Great cooks if u need a friendly place for ur friends and family this is the placeplace!!handsdown
Was at Honor after my heart surgery. Staff checked in on my daily, and I had also had daily, not every other day, walks, and very effective workouts/rehab. My endurance and strength increased to a surprising level. Thanks to the Physical Therpists for being both positive and insistent that I could always do a little bit more
I am James Gates' wife. I am unable to ever reach the nurses when I call to check on his progress. I have no idea how he is doing over there. They never answer the phone.
Anyone looking for an exceptional post hospital rehab for their loved one should consider Honor Health Rehabilitation Hospital. My dad is a retired doctor and expects excellent care where ever he goes and can be a bit difficult at times but he had nothing bad to say about his care at this facility. I chose this facility for my father after he was hit by a car on his bicycle and needed some more time to heal after hospitalization and to get stronger before coming home. His care here was exceptional and i was kept well informed about his progress and included in decisions about his care. From the girls answering the phones to the case managers, nurses and physicians i felt my dad was in good hands and that I could relax knowing everyone was competent but above this i believe the staff cared about him as a person and had his best interest in mind. Having worked in the medical field myself as an RN, at times it is easy to be critical of a loved ones care but this place never let me down and my dad requested to go back here after a second injury years later from a bad fall at home because he felt the care was so good. Again from the first contact at this facility everything went smoothly and i felt relaxed and knew everything would be taken care of and my dad would be pleased. Thanks to all the staff especially physical therapy and a hard working case manager for truly caring and for keeping me informed. My dad had another exceptional experience and is home safe and able to care for himself. Anyone looking for a great care should check this place out, it just doesn’t get any better!!!Sincerely, Amy Rodriguez
This place was amazing! Everyone working there was so wonderful. I feel they really went above and beyond their job taking care ofeveryone needing therapy and other care. I felt scared going there at first not knowing what I was going to experience because I had come out of an 8 day coma out a 9 days before and was needing help to walk again. They put me at ease with their encouragement every day and I was able to walk out of there 3 1/2 weeks later. I feel I was placed in the right place with the right people. I will recommend this place to others who need therapy.
My husband received excellent care during his stay. The staff was caring and clear on the goals of his rehab. The facility is nice, friendly and professional staff. We would recommend this location. We live in Surprise do the daily drive for me to see him was well worth it.
This is the Ritz of Rehabs. All the staff is excellent, professional, compassionate and nice. The rooms are spotless and roomy. The food is yummy and they will accommodate you in any way they can. They all helped me to return to the world and I am deeply grateful.
My husband was there for about 10 days very good service, he was very well assisted when I asked for information about him, they were very kind, Heather was very attentive to me and kept me informed.thank you all for what you did for my husband. I really appreciate it.
My mother fell and injured herself here and she also caught covid at this facility. Obviously their precautions are not enough. Would give less stars if possible
My father in law stayed here two different times. Everyone there was so friendly and professional. He was treated like family and received outstanding care, that meant the so much to us!
Coming here I felt hopeless, I came in a wheelchair and I'm leaving here walking on my own. Being young and losing mobility due to illness is hard physically and mentally. The staff genuinely cared and supported my journey, from the nurses, therapist, caseworkers, to the cooks. I feel like I'm leaving a family to go home with tools to care for my own. I'm so thankful to Honor Health Rehabilitation Hospital.

Good evening this is what I just posted Absolutely the best rehab staff! My mom had a stroke late April and spent a month or so there until June 26, 2020. She received expert care and the staff treated her like family. Even in the most of covid they were always doing nice little things like opening her blinds so that we could see her through out the day, helping her make phone calls and reading notes/cards. Her therapy was intense but the staff took extra time to make and help my mom send videos of her progress. I felt like everyone I encountered there really cared about my mom!
In March, my friend fell off of a ladder and broke his back. He rehabilitated at Honor Health Rehabilitation Hospital. During his stay, family and friends were unable to visit him because of COVID-19 quarantine rules. Knowing that my friend Heather Henning worked at Honor Health, I asked her to check in on my friend as a friendly face. Her visits made a world of difference to him and his healing because of her contagious smile, her reliability and her inherent kindness. I recommend Honor Health Rehabilitation Hospital to anyone requiring rehab services.
