List of Jamie Kapner's Reviews
Very through and knowledgeable. Experienced and made sure that I understood upcoming procedures. Staff friendly and professional.
Dr. Jamie Kapner is my husband's Urologist/Surgeon. So VERY happy that Dr. Kapner was a referral from a patient, who is, also, a Urologist! Dr. Jamie Kapner possesses outstanding surgical skills, he is personable, caring, and we would, certainly, not hesitate to recommend him to anyone! In addition, his front office staff has ALWAYS treated us very well and respectfully.
This doctor has zero personality and zero bedside manner. Arrogant as heck. He’s a pretty fair surgeon but that’s it. He does not care about the patient at all. Office staff rude as heck. Go elsewhere for a urologist. Anyone but this guy!
Dr. Kapner is the best! I went to him over 10 years. I had to move away from the area and wish I could take him and his staff with me.
Front office staff is extremely rude and won’t return phone calls. They also lost samples that needed to be tested, what a nightmare. Do you self a favor and find a different office.
Front office staff is very rude. Sad first impression.
I have to agree with most recent post, front office- rude! very unhappy person, complains of all patients like we like to be there, dr Kapner is not recommended- short, does not review record, did not go over recent lab results, doesn't allow to to talk or raise your concern, shuts you down and says thats not his area, well why do you take call in Honorhealth ER, consult through the ER dr- never see the pt, tell them follow up in 3 days but office says can't get you in. DO NOT TAKE CALL IN THE ER TO GET MORE PATIENTS AND COLLECT THEIR INSURANCE IF YOU DONT HAVE TIME and patients are a inconvince for you!!!! walked out of office without knowing what problem was or how I got it, went to get a prescription and the office never called in it!!!!!!!!
I left an honest/polite assessment. However, the site didn't send my remarks. Here is a BASIC evaluation •barked pre-surgery directives while I was groggy from a medicated, sleepless night recovering from a prior emergency procedure to stop internal hemorrhaging. •curt, defensive when I asked him about his background (not a good sign when Dr. won't disclose experience), and said I could "look up his credentials." •disturbing bedside manner. •please, I'm not being condescending, but I'm blessed with a family of kind MD's, DVM, Ph.D.'s, and Medical Professors: (Chief of Neurosurgery, Methodist Hospital, Professor of Neurosurgery, Baylor College of Medicine, Neurosurgery Textbook Author, Researcher, NASA Space Flight Consultant, Dad, DVM, Ph.D., UC Davis Veterinary School [I'm proud-UC Davis is #1 Vet School in World], Professor of Anatomy/Physiology and Research, Author, President, AVMA x3; Prof. of Nursing; Ped/Immu, MD.). I KNOW the need for doc/patient trust and I don't feel safe.
The front desk staff is HIGHLY unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. Do not recommend. Edit: they responded to my review saying they saved my life? I've never even been there. I've talked to the front desk staff over the phone but have never been seen. I don't know if they think I'm someone else or are just making things up, but either way, it adds to my point that they are incredibly unprofessional.
Following a CAT scan, the staff went out of their way to contact me about a very necessary procedure and because of that, probably saved my kidneys. Dr. Kapner is a no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it -is Urologist. He took the time to explain the procedure and its causes and he took the to call my wife and explain the situation a second time. I would recommend him without hesitation.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
