Dr.Ashman is smart, direct and a great radiation oncologist. I had my lungs radiated for stage 4 cancer and now will be having some areas in my abdomen and pelvis. Dr.Ashman and his team are fantastic and have made the process a better experience than I had expected.

When I was told I had esophageal cancer at my home town Cancer clinic I was devastated. I was told I was on terminal stage. My wife and I decided to look for more opinions and got an appt at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Az. Dr. Ashman, was the first doctor I saw at Mayo Clinic and he did not agree with the diagnosis I received in my hometown. Thanks to his profound interest in my case, he found out I was misdiagnosed and I was taking the wrong medication/ treatment for esophageal cancer. Three months later, I had surgery at Mayo Clinic and he was able to eliminate any cancerous cells that I had in my stomach/esophagus. Since then, he has been seeing me every six months and always demonstrates to care about my physical and mental care. Thank you Dr. Ashman foralways being there for me.
