List of Joseph A Longo Iii's Reviews
He is thorough, kind, and explains everything so you can understand it. He is absolutely NOT presumptuous, he is amazing. He cares about his patients. He wants the BEST for his patients. He's just amazing. This will be my second surgery with him I know I will do well. Please, please take good care of him.
When I met Dr. Longo in January I knew he was the right surgeon for my knee replacement. I had seen other orthopaedic surgeons and Dr. Longo was more knowledgeable than any of them. He examined my knee carefully and before seeing any xrays he told me exactly what the problems were. We scheduled for surgery within a month. Every thing from getting xrays, the presurgical physical, the preop prep and the surgery went off without a hitch. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Longo and his team. I knew I was in good hands. I'll also say my stay at Osborne Honor Health in Scottsdale was as good as it could be. Dr. Longo visited me both mornings in the hospital on the weekend. That was above and beyond what my expectations were. Five weeks after surgery my knee doing extremely well. I have full range of flexibility and did not experience any real pain. The scar has healed beautifully.
Service at the office by the doctor was good. Receptionist over the phone was rude when trying to book a follow up - I forgot what the details were unfortunately but she was inappropriately condescending, acting like I asked something stupid. Worst of all, they ignore your emails. Never visiting this office again - pity for them because I did need follow up appointments for my wrist.
Arrived early to do paperwork fi e like most Doctor offices, we were the only people at this clinic literally made us wait over an hour for the appointment time at 1. Wouldn't it ha e been just as easy and convenient to just see us rather than make us wait because we were early?? But no apparently not
My husband started having back issues in July. Terrible pain so bad he could not walk. Went to ER for help. Nothing detected but was sent home with pain killers. We went to his PCP and they recomended an MRI. In the meantime we made an appointment with Dr Longo. He is my sister's doctor for her knee and has been great for that. My husband had a realpse and when we called DR Longo, he had no appointmenets open. The receptionist told us to go to a WALK IN CLINIC or ER. We went to our PCP and she recommended INSTANT ORTHO in scottsdale. We went. The Dr there took xrays and put my husband on a steroid pack and pain killers. IN a DAY he was feeling better, We have since seen 2 additional spine doctors. The last Dr Jacob Rohr, Barrow Spine, who gave my husband a complete physical exam. We saw the MRI again in his office. He verified with the findings from the MRI that the pain was caused by bone spurs.leaning on soft tissue causing inflamation and also that my husband has SCOLIOSIS in his lower spine. An obvious curve making the bone spurs worse. Dr Longo dismissed this possibility when asked. Basically told my husband to quit his job stay home and wait to see a pain management person but would doubt if he could get an appointment any earlier thatn 30 days. We got an appt with Dr Rohrs Barrow Spine in a week. After seeing 4 doctors. Dr Rohr was the best Dr Longo is a good pysician and surgeon for JOINTS. He is not a back specialist. My husband had been out of work for 4 months. If he had seen Dr Rohr initially I am confident that 1. He would have been treated for the bone spur and the inflamation 2. He would have been able to return to work faster,
Excellent practice - 5 across the board. Had NO problems from initial consultation to my release.
They are the best
Horrible dr nearly killed my mom please find a new dr this one needs to go back to school
I got a total knee replacement by this doctor I was bone on bone and needed it done right away I met a girl who gave me his name because I was from PA and didn't know anyone in Scottsdale my right knee was replaced in Pa and almost completely good 4 yrs ago This doctor did my left knee I did all the therapy at spooners rehab and was getting close but grew Scar tissue and was in pain and Could NOT bend my knee all the way Doctor Longo took me back to surgery to manipulate it very painful then I started Rehab all over again one week after surgery I ended up in the hospital again with pneumonia who knows where I got that (the hospital?) anyways I did more physical therapy that I paid for out of my pocket because insurance wouldn't pay for anymore since I already did so much Needless to say My Knee is terrible it won't bend Scar tissue back and always swells and pain Poor quality of life So I would really be picky on who and where you get your knee replacement because I feel this doctor and what went on was Not good He never called to check on me in the hospital yet I told nurses to call him and they said they did He should have made sure therapy happened in the hospital because not moving it for a week put me back in pain and scar tissue again just terrible I would research others
Regret surgery every day. 2017 surgery, still in pain with sometimes out of place. He did not take care of me after surgery.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
