Maravilla Scottsdale's Online Review Report Card

Both my parents have been here several years and I dine with them at least 2-3 times per week. I've come to know the staff and Xavier always goes above and beyond. Tonight, my mother with dementia was in a bad way and wanted ice cream but dessert was something else. I didn't even have to explain he immediately understood and made it happen. Miraculously both my parents were served an amazing ice cream with cholate sauce. He always amazes me by his grace, understanding and service. I cannot thank him enough for how many times he has gone way above his role to serve, protect and honor other residence here from my observations dining her alot and no one in management even knows. He is gods angel to Mara villa. Thank you Xavier I notice! God Bless You!

Fabulous tour with Tracey which included a delicious lunch with two friends who wanted to make sure that I hadn’t lost my mind about wanting to sell my beautiful home and move into Maravilla! They are convinced now. 😃. I am ready and waiting to move in once “MY”unit becomes ready for me! Thank you, Tracey, for everything; you are a jewel!

My husband and I recently attended an amazing event at Maravilla and we loved the entire experience: the activities, the delicious food, atmosphere, our participation, and especially loved the very friendly residents and staff. Thank you for the invitation to attend.

Wonderful experience at Maravilla Scottsdale. Enjoyed the day on Sept. 23. I even won a basket!!! Can't wait to make Maravilla our home.

Food service and quality is quite poor considering the High buy-in and monthly fee. The facilities are lovely.

When mother was toward the end of her life we took her to tour many facilities. They were all fine but Maravilla was the only one that she embraced. It was the right choice. There was quality care, kind service, good food, and a supportive administration. I highly recommend this facility for their care & integrity. My only regret was that my mom, of blessed memory, didn't get to have more time there.

The best place I've ever worked at. Residents are super nice. Management and staff are very nice and helpful. I remember when I first walked in there I felt like a family already. The place itself is beautiful. Everyone gave me that warm family vibe.

I was with a fiend of mine when she signed her contract to move into a casita at Maravilla. This was 4-5 years ago. She was told that the Princess occasionally had a concert, but most of the residents seemed to enjoy hearing them. Then an a holiday came along - any holiday: Easter, Christmas ,Halloween etc. and the Princess set up slides, merry go rounds, ice skating, Santa visits etc. - right across from my friends casita. Sometimes the windows rattled. Needless to say my friend was lied to about what happened over there. AND did not enjoy the concert!!!

Think twice about a permanent move to Maravilla Scottsdale. They make it look too good to pass up, but the exorbitant buy-in with no re-sale value is very much a reality at Maravilla. Plus, you will pay VERY high monthly dues on top of the buy-in fee. From day one, we were dissatisfied with Maravilla. From the dishonest salesperson misrepresenting the unit we were "sold", to management wringing every dollar they could out of us when we decided to leave for better accommodations, we often felt like we were being taken advantage of or mistreated. I can only assume that many of the people on staff at Maravilla have no aging loved ones, because if they did, they would behave with more compassion and humanity than we ever saw from them. My advice...Keep shopping and you'll find something better. It might not be as pretty as Maravilla, but the people will probably care about your loved ones more.
