List of Mark D Tyson's Reviews
My urology visit and cystoscopy were both top notch. Dr. Tyson is a good teacher; he explains disease processes and surgical intervention very well.
So caring, down to earth...besides, being a great Dr. He's also a nice guy.
Dr Tyson was exceptionally caring and patient in explaining the different treatments for prostrate cancer and which one would be best for me. I was very pleased with the care he gave me during and after the surgery. I would always recommend Dr Tyson.
Dr. Tyson is the whole package! He knows his stuff. His patients are his number one concern. He is always available to them. I can't say enough good about him. He was exactly who I needed during a very frightening time of my life. I will always be thankful to and for him! God bless this man.
Dr. Tyson cared for my husband in an emergency case at Vanderbilt. He was very knowledgeable and understandable as he shared procedures and results, as well as kind, respectful and exceptionally caring. We feel that my husband is in the very best hands possible. He is more than a doctor... more like a friend trying to help in an extremely difficult situation. I could heartily recommend him to anyone as the best cancer surgeon available. Vanderbilt is fortunate to have him! ( We have not yet visited his office.)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
