North Scottsdale Retreat's Online Review Report Card

I did design work in the residences and the owner stopped paying. After many emails back and forth with he and staff, still nothing. He owes close to 5k and has simply stated “he doesn’t have it.”

This place will forever be my favorite place ❤️

I don't post reviews too often, especially when I am having issues with a business. I would rather work it out directly with the business. However, I am at a loss on what to do. My mom moved in to one of their facilities in June of LAST YEAR. Due to a series of falls and dementia, she was in need of a group home care setting. This seemed like the perfect option when we toured. My only concern was the level of physical care needed by other residents and if she would fit in. They assured me that I should give it 90 days and if we weren't happy, we could move on. The very next month, they charged rent twice. We never did get the mobile prescription service set up right. They wouldn't help me with mobile physicians because "THEIR" person wasn't on her insurance. I had to pick up prescriptions at all hours - on a couple of occassions they told me she was out for the next morning at 8p. The list goes on. When I told them, we were not happy, they indicated that the home manager resigned, the house was undergoing changes, things would get better, they would take her on outings, they were bringing a church in, etc. Please give them 30 more days. We did that. The only thing they did with her was take her on a walk, but she wasn't even allowed to sit outside. At the end of the 30 days I gave them, we gave notice. Upon move out, none of the staff would even say goodbye to her. It was very sad. I left in tears for my mom. I have yet to receive the double rent nor the remainder of my deposit. I finally got a hold of someone in March. I had been completely ignored for several months. She indicated that all the staff I previously worked with was no longer with the company and the house was completely restaffed, so it made sense that I wasn't getting a response. She assured me she would get resolution. She is ignoring me now too. Beware.

Val was awesome to work with

North Scottsdale retreat is one of the most beautiful home I’ve seen with attentive staff. Val is the manager and she does a wonderful job with her staff making sure the residents are well taken care of. She offers plenty of activities and delicious meals. Every time i come and visit, the residents are either relaxing, or working on some fun activities. Val and her staff are very involved with their residents and go out of their ways to make sure each residents are getting the attention and the help they need. Jasmine is one of the care givers and she can cook some delicious ribs! Her meals are always on on point. Thank you North Scottsdale retreat, your commitment and dedication to your residents are always appreciated!

I am so very thankful for the care that my father received during his end of life time at North Scottsdale Retreat. My dad was treated like family and our immediate family was always warmly welcomed at our visits. The entire staff was always excellent, and especially Val who made my dad feel like he was always right at home. This is truly the place for a loved one to be cared for with dignity and respect. This is a fantastic assisted living home. They have a nurse on staff, and they care about their residents. They always have an awake staff and two caregivers during the day. What makes them unique is they hire more caregivers if the care is needed!

I want to thank you for allowing me to come in and take a tour of your home and to meet with your staff on . You have a beautiful place, and I was excited to share with my coworkers how I truly felt like I was walking into a family gathering. Many places say that they offer that environment, but I can honestly say that North Scottsdale Retreat is the real deal!

My husband just recently entered North Scottsdale Retreat and I can't say enough good things about it. The entire staff is focused on the residents and their care. They are always checking to see if residents have a need, a wish or a want to make their lives a little brighter. They will do whatever it takes to make the residents comfortable and feel "at home". The environment itself is beautiful and set up to provide group/staff interaction and conversation. Their is laughter and a wonderful sense of "family" among all. They told us in the interview they consider their residents as "family" and it's very apparent that is true. On our 2nd day my husband mentioned he liked key lime pie and sushi and the next day that was his lunch! I would highly recommend this lovely care home.

Great care in a home environment. Care is personalized for each resident. Open and welcome environment for residents families to enjoy quality time with loved ones.
