I was referred to Dr Shapiro after having been diagnosed with tumors in both my left and right Kidney by my Nephrologist. Dr Shapiro had other tests done to confirm the findings and explained my options to me. We scheduled the first surgery on my left kidney and he did a minimally invasive removal of the tumor. It went exceptionally well and had a quick recovery. We scheduled the right Kidney 4 months later and again great results. Throughout this process he did a great job explaining things to me and was very encouraging. I would highly recommend him not only as a great surgeon, but as a caring and compassionate human being!

Simply put: Dr. Robert Shapiro "SAVED MY LIFE". It is my strongest opinion that without his guidance and expertise, as a Urologist and Surgeon, I would not have the additional years I now look forward to. I know I can never repay him for his kindness, empathy, and compassion, but I will try by making my life the best it can be each and every day. And because of him my wife who was advised to have surgery "immediately" by another doctor was able to avoid this by consulting with Dr. Shapiro to get the real truth of her condition. He is our Guardian Angel, and his staff has more caring for their patients than any other practice I have been associated with in the past 30 years!! Dr. Shapiro is excellent. I’m my opinion, you can’t find better. His expert knowledge and outstanding surgical skills saved my life, and my quality of life, without any side effects. It’s remarkable and he and his team are too.

After being diagnosed with prostrate cancer a few years ago I consulted with a few doctors and found Dr Shapiro. I felt very confident in him personally and professionally to perform the Da Vinci robotic prostatectomy. Dr Shapiro is a "perfectionist" and his colleagues and staff Top notch. My outcome has been very good and I am now cancer free! I highly recommend him.

All three of my family members are patients of Dr. Shapiro. He is the consummate professional: knowledgable, personable and approachable. He listens and seeks to understand each of our problems and concerns before moving to solutions/treatments. Our daughter has a genetic condition which affects her kidneys. She is developmental handicapped. Dr. Shapiro won her over on her first visit. She trusts him. As a result he is able to treat her as necessary. I have recommended friends to Dr. Shapiro's care without hesitation.

Worst experience ever. Doc missed the cause of my symtoms and went right to surgery. Surgery was rescheduled 5 times partially also do to what cause the symtoms. Back office is so disfunctional that they do not even know their office number so you can talk to the same person twice.
