very professional staff. Dr. Ahmed is awesome -knows his stuff. Gets rights to the point
I received a call from Dr. Ahmeds office 4 days before surgery informing me that my surgery had to be cancelled. The admin I spoke to rude and blamed me for the cancellation, informing me that I was supposed to get clearance from my Primary Care doctor (Karl Espinosa). I explained that I was never informed that this was my responsibility. In fact, Dr. Karl's office is confused because they never received the clearance request from Desert Orthopedic Center - apparently they expected Dr. Ahmeds office to send the clearance request, not me. I have a second referral now and I have no interest in ever coming back to Desert Orthopedic Center. Apparently, they neglected to provide me with a "pre-op instructions" folder which would have avoided all the miscommunication.
Went in for shoulder strain with painful mobility. Dr. visit was less than 5 minutes. decided to get a cortisol shot and re-hab at home. The Doctors assistant gave me a cortisol shot and nothing else. Total time in the office from check in to check out was less than 15 minutes which included paying my co-pay. The bill was over $1,300.00 The office billed for the DR. visit, the cortisol fluid, the injection fee and coded 2 surgery's which they claim were radiology charges WITH and WITHOUT contrast that they stated was MIXED in with the cortisol fluid itself. I WOULD SUGGEST YOU GO TO ANOTHER DOCTOR.
Sprained my wrist. Dr saw me for maybe 15 min, gave me a brace. Just got the bill for $7,100!!! Don't go there they rip you off!!!
He has always been very professional and has always taken great care of me. I trust him completely with any medical decision.
Dr. Ahmed and his staff- PA Thatcher, failed to recognize the severity of osteoarthritis in my both hips and the need for operation. Instead, Dr. Ahmed insisted that “my condition is not too bad” and recommended steroid shots. On my last visit I was given his PA to talk to, was trying to explain that I am in constant pain and great discomfort that nothing helps and shots do not last long, so PA Thatcher had a nerve to recommend “to stretch more”. To stretch? When I can barely walk? After that visit I found another orthopedic surgeon, who did x-rays, reviewed them with me and explained “you don’t have any cartilage left in your hip joints, you need an operation asap”. I wasted my time and money with Dr. Ahmed and his ignorant staff.
Dr. Ahmed is a skilled surgeon with excellent bedside manner. A tough combination to find in the field of orthopedics.
Dr Ahmed did a difficult surgery on my husband when other Doctors wouldn’t try. Very happy with him and his staff
Great Doctor. Smart as a whip. You don’t wait long for him. Staff is really nice.
The doctor gave me a shot for a problem that I found out after a week of pain a shot couldn’t help. He never called back about a brace that he promised. Don’t get close to this doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
