After extensive research, I chose Dr. Friedman for my hair transplant, hoping for expertise and professionalism. Instead, it was the most disastrous experience of my life. I paid over $12,000 expecting significant restoration but gained only a few new hairs, a laughable result for the cost. Dr. Friedman made me wait an entire year just to dismiss my concerns and arrogantly declare his work "successful." When I expressed deep dissatisfaction, he was dismissive and condescending, refusing to acknowledge the failed outcome. To add insult to injury, he aggressively pushed a $3,000 laser cap on me, claiming it would boost results. It did absolutely nothing. This surgeon prioritizes profit over patients. His arrogance is matched only by his incompetence. Save your money and your dignity: avoid him at all costs. STAY AWAY. I regret every penny and moment wasted.

I'm 3 days post-op and will update this based on actual results in the future. My experience was wonderful. After consulting with several hair transplant surgeons in the area I knew very quickly that Dr. Chu would be my preferred choice. She made me very comfortable with the process, thoroughly answered all of my questions, and unlike her peers at other clinics, never told me 'not to worry, I've done this a million times' - She made me her priority and focused on what my surgery would need, not what she has done in the past. Beyond Dr. Chu, Brittney was excellent at explaining the process, what to expect, answering all of my questions and never pushing me or trying to sell a product. The day of the surgery was as great as the pre-op experience. The technicians were awesome! I was a bit loopy from the meds and do not remember all of their names, only Adriana, but all of them were excellent. They made me feel comfortable throughout and did such a great job. In many ways they are the real stars. If you are considering a transplant procedure please consider Dr. Chu and her team, I'm confident you will find them as excellent as I have.

I am one day post surgery and everything has gone exactly as it was laid out to me by Dr. Friedman and Dr. Chu. Results are obviously to come, but I am very happy with the process so far and the professionalism of their office and operation.

I just had my second transplant with Dr. Friedman and the reason I came back to him this second time around is because he did a great job leaving me with a completely unnoticeable scar on the back of my head the first time where he pulled 2,800 grafts to transplant. As well as him doing a great job making the transplanted hair look natural and fuller. This second round I just had done was for 2,200 grafts as that was the most he was able to pull from the back of my head this go around and once again I was very impressed with his work and how comfortable him AND the rest of the staff made me feel with the entire experience. I definitely recommend going through Dr. Friedman and his team if you’re looking to get a natural thicker head of hair with very little to no unsightly scarring on the back of your head. I had my first transplant years ago and have never had a single person notice the scar which was a big initial concern for me. Dr. Friedman is a master of his craft and is very welcoming and personable.

Place is a joke . False promises . VERY POOR RESULTS. Went for hair transplant and I was under medication and they even had me sign for more grafts that I did not even realize I signed for .

I just had my two week follow up for suture removal after my Hair Transplant Surgery. This was my third such surgery but first with Dr. Friedman & Dr. Chu. To say it was by far my best experience would be an understatement. From the initial phone call to the consult to surgery day & post-op Dr. Friedman, Dr. Chu and the entire team were unbelievably kind, caring & friendly. They answered all of my questions & concerns and I felt completely at ease going into surgery day. The procedure itself was quite comfortable and the day went by rather quickly. The post-op instructions they provide are extremely detailed to ensure your best success yet very very easy to follow. The suture removal was a piece of cake and further reinforcement of the care of the site was given. The skill, knowledge & attention to detail from both Dr. Friedman, Dr. Chu and the team is second to none. I very much enjoyed my experience with everyone at The Scottsdale Institute and would recommend without hesitation you speak with them if you are considering Hair Transplant Surgery. I am so looking forward to seeing the final result as the hair grows in!!! I even got a restaurant recommendation from Dr. Chu and can’t wait to try Roka Akor 😃 Thank you everyone for a wonderful experience!!!

Very gentle and easy experience. Staff is fantastic. Made a very difficult decision a very enjoyable process. Thanks everyone for your kindness and expertise.

This has been a horrific experience. To start they over harvested because the machine wasn’t working properly, they harvested 900 grafts before realizing it, those grafts weren’t usable so they threw them away, while they didn’t charge me for them I’m 26 years old and have bald spots in the back of my head because of how much they harvested. It was supposed to be 1500 grafts but barely any of the hair has grown, I did my best to educate myself on realistic results but this is a horror story, one side they are curly and the other side they are straight. It literally looks like a hack job except I paid 12k. I bought their 3k laser cap and everything and almost 9 months later the results are terrifying, please do yourself a favor and do not come here. They will do so much more damage than good. The reviews are true, money hungry.
