Shane Martin's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Martin did a total hip replacement on me 4.5 years ago. I recently had some leg pain. I saw 3 spinal orthopedic specialists who all said it had nothing to do with my spine. One suggested that it may be a problem with my hip implant. Dr. Martin did a thorough exam and reviewed my imaging. He deduced that I had a pinched nerve in my spine and my implant was OK. In the end, he was the only one who was correct! BTW, I am a cyclist. In the 4.5 years since my total hip replacement I have cycled 17,000 miles with nearly 300,000 feet of climbing. My new hip is like I never had a problem in the first place. He is truly the best!

I would have left more Stars if I was able. I can’t say enough positive, things about his crew & of course Dr Martin I claim bragging rights, Dr. Martin did my surgery in 2016/2017 both knee replacements, that’s been 6 years, The cliché is said. “ I should’ve done this a long time ago “and I do agree!! We’ve all heard some people are still in a lot of pain, recovery was so slow, not with THE MAN & I can’t say Thanks enough.

Dr. Martin was recommended to me by a colleague (physical therapist) for knee surgery that I was needing, putting off for years (had Left TKA 7 yrs ago). The MAKOplasty procedure intrigued me, allowing me to go home same day and avoid a hospital stay. Pre-op I found Dr. Martin to be very personable, direct and straight forward about the surgical procedure with his office staff very welcoming, and informative (esp Jeanette, nurse practitioner). Dr. Martin is very skilled at what he does: able to go home hours after surgery, excellent post-op medication and recovery regimen, minimal pain and swelling, able to progress to a cane within 6 days after surgery and no device at all inside my home. Will be returning to my (active) employment as a rehab therapist soon. I am so happy to lose the limp that I had for so long pre-op, and I look forward to the ability to resume an active lifestyle that will include biking, hiking and pickleball. Thank you Dr. Martin and your team!

I had seen 3 Orthopedic doctors prior to meeting Dr Martin- as soon as I met him- he was personable and knowledgeable and I knew immediately he was going perform my 2 hip replacements- had right hip done in January- went great and was a smooth experience scheduled my left hip for April. He has a great staff and I’m so thankful to have found Dr Martin and his team.

Dr. Martin did my right hip 10 year ago. It was perfect. I am about ready to do my left hip and was told that Dr. Martin no longer accepts medicare. I was disappointed because he did an excellent job. Now searching for a good surgeon.

When I decided I needed to get my knee surgery done Doctor Martin was recommended to me and I am glad I made that choice. Doctor Martin and his staff are wonderful and I never felt uncomfortable with my decision. They took care of me from the start with answering all my questions and with all follow up questions or making sure I was okay. The at home care post op was good and I really appreciated the calls i would get from Jeanette to make sure my medications was good and if I needed anything.

My partial knee replacement experience could not have been better! The office staff very nice and accommodating from my first visit through my post surgery follow up. I never felt that I was bothering anyone with questions. My first meeting with Dr. Martin made me feel very comfortable with my upcoming surgery. Dr Martin thoroughly explained the procedure and what to expect post surgery. I am now 3 week post surgery and feeling great i have been able to walk without a walker 8 days after my procedure. Dr Martin came highly recommended, he and his staff did not disappoint. Without hesitation I would highly recommend Dr. Martin. I am very happy I traveled from Chicago for this procedure!

I've been so busy, hiking, biking and playing pickleball that time escaped me. Dr. Martin did a total knee replacement in March 2022. The procedure is not something you enter into lightly but the outcome was worth it. Thank you Dr. Martin and your caring staff. Pat Medwar

Dr Martin, is the only Dr that will ever work on my knees. He shows passion toward his patients, listens to their concerns. He won’t sugar coat anything and will tell you the truth whether you want to hear it or not. His staff is the best in the business, professional and the show they care about their patients. Thank You for everything Dr Martin you’ve been taking care of knees for 15 years and no one but you will ever touch my knees or hips. Thank You to Dr Martins staff for taking care of me and making sure I was taken care of.

5 years ago I had an anterior hip replacement and returned this fall to same the center to pursue a knee replacement. I wanted robotic MAKOplasty and was pleased to learn that this was offered. Dr Martin is the surgeon now, while the rest of the office staff have remained the same. I can't say enough how pleasant, efficient and informative the staff are. The whole process from beginning to end is easy and you are well looked after. Dr Martin is friendly and personable, answers all your questions and makes you feel confident going into the procedure. My surgery went well, I knew I was in excellent hands. I had some post op complications with the drugs and Jeanette was there for me every step of the way until I was back on track. Follow up post surgery is excellent. I couldn't be happier with my whole experience. I would highly recommend Dr Martin for knee or hip replacement surgery.
