Sophie Bersoux's Online Review Report Card

She is just a sweetheart. Have had her for many years and I feel she truly cares for me as a patient and person.

Would not recommend. This MD was chosen for me by Mayo. I have always been impressed and felt totally comfortable and confident in their care. Mayo's policies only allow patients to change primary care physicians once. Dr Bersoux has poor listening skills. Her questions do not reflect knowledge of your history nor of your chart. Her final report of your visit has inaccuracies. If there are any abnormal findings I no longer expect her to follow up. I feel she is either too busy or does not care for her patients. I saw her PA, Dr Pennington, only once. She was much more thorough, professional, accurate, and caring.

As a patient of Mayo, I was assigned to Dr. Bersoux. I have seen her for two years for numerous problems. Having a history in the medical field, my expectations might be higher. I would have liked to changed sooner, but am cautious due to Mayo’s policy of only allowing patients to change primary care once.

see above I adore her Has helped me and encouraged me through many issues. I really think she cares about me. Her nurse Donna is the greatest as well.

This doctor does not posses an ounce of compassion. She expresses no interest in ones suffering or needs. One gets the feeling that you are a nuisance to her and she can not wait to dispose of you in a way that leads to the least expenditure of energy on her part. I wish the scale would accept a negative numerical rating to provide true justice for her abilities. If you are in her care, God help you.

Changing work environment at MAYO causing perception of Doctor

Dr. Bersoux is rude and uncaring. Mayo clinic scheduled my appointment to coincide with chemo treatment. I was ten minutes late because of traffic so I called Dr. Bersoux's office and they were not pleased but said to come in. Five minutes later, as I walked in the door of Mayo's Scottsdale facility, Dr Bersoux's assistant called to say the doctor had decided to cancel because I was late. I told them about the coordination with chemo and they did not care. I basically begged the assistant to reconsider but she said the doctor insisted and there was nothing she could do. I asked about getting on a cancellation list, and they said they did not do that. I asked for the next appointment and they said that would not have one for five months. Would you entrust yourself to this doctor?

I called because I was ten minutes late for an appointment, due to terrible traffic. They were rude, but said to come on in. As I walked into the facility, Dr. Bersoux's assistant called and said the doctor was canceling because I was late. I explained that I was also receiving chemo later that day at the Mayo facility where the doctor works, and that Mayo had coordinated the visits. They did not care. I asked them to reconsider, given my circumstances and the fact they had told me to keep coming. They did not care,saying that the doctor insisted I be cancelled. I asked if they could put me on wait list for cancellations. They coldly said they do not do that. I asked for the next appointment. It was five months away. Would you entrust your care to this doctor?
