Sumit Dewanjee's Online Review Report Card

Our kindergarten daughter was seen from falling off the monkey bars at school. She had a small fracture and Dr. Dewanjee took care of our little one. They had the imaging service in house so it was nice not having to hope around from place to place to get certain procedures done. Our daughter healed right up as if nothing ever happened. Thanks Dr. Dewanjee and staff for taking care of our munchkin.

I am so grateful for Dr Dewanjee! He is an absolutely amazing surgeon, he knows so much and I have come so far with my shoulder injury/recovery. I had surgery all the way back in 2013 and I only need to see him for things unrelated to my initial surgery these days. I would highly recommend him to anyone out there needing orthopedic surgery. He listens, he cares, and he knows his stuff 👍

My daughter broke her wrist and when I called FXRX I was told they didn’t take my insurance but had an agreement with BCBS and if I would pay a one time fee then I wouldn’t be billed any additional amount. Almost 2 years later I receive a call informing me that I had an outstanding balance. When I questioned this they said there was nothing in my file indicating any kind of an agreement. I was obviously upset over this because I feel like they lied to me just to get my business. They did offer me a discount which I accepted but I’m irritated to have to pay anything at all. Just beware of this if they don’t take your insurance.

I was sent to Dr Dewanjee by my pc dr at the time for left knee replacement. Prior to seeing dr Dewanjee I had seen three other very highly recommended ortho docs. None of the prior three ortho docs really took any time with me. All they were concerned abt was when was I able to schedule surgery? Dr. Dewanjee spent time talking with me actually looked at me and my knee. Finally a dr is listening to me. Yay! I had an ankle break & knee got progressively worse after tib fib fracture. Dr. Dewanjee did not do my ankle repair and I wish he had. My knee replacement went very smooth. Dr. Dewanjee saved me because once pain gets you mentally its down hill from there. His office girls put my surgery together in six days. What drs office does that? It was perfect for me. No time to talk myself out of surgery again. Dr. Dewanjee is chatty has a good sense of humor and is in my eyes an excellent surgeon. He saved me from a bad downward spiral. He doesn’t know this but quietly I love him and his surgeon ability. His office is well run, the girls are always pleasant & helpful. I’ve had several ortho surgeries in the last eight years and working with Dr. Dewanjee and his staff has been a pleasure. Dr Dewanjee is absolutely the best ortho doc I’ve dealt with. I’ve never written a review for anyone or anything. If I didn’t respect and know the great work Dr Dewanjee did I wouldn’t be writing this one. My life has improved & once PT is complete & I’m walking with no cane I will be100%!! I injured my knee snowboarding, and am impressed with the kindness the office showed by scheduling me in on short notice. Dr Dewanjee's knowledge and attention to detail assured me a smooth surgery and recovery. I just completed my final post-op visit, and am amazed at the difference in my ability to walk down the hallway compared to the hobble from my first visit. My pain is now a 0 and Dr Dewanjee remains a 10; thank you to the whole office!

Excellent surgeon. Dr. Dewanjee fixed my fractured ankle in the summer of 2019. I greatly appreciated that he was able to squeeze my surgery into his busy schedule. I’m back to my baseline after doing PT for several months. He’s a rockstar.

Careful. The front desk made it seem like there wasn't going to be extravagant costs for out-of-network but then I get a $2,000 bill for 30-minutes with the doc. Outrageous and a sham.
