My grandmother lived at The Gardens for 7 months and at first everything was great. However as time went on it was clear things were not ideal. Her room often smelled of urine, and while the care staff was great, her living situation quickly deteriorated. One evening I received a call where she was “lost” but they later found her in a courtyard talking to a friend. The financial accounting aspect was very frustrating. I was originally told she could eat in her room or in the dining room but then they began to charge a delivery fee. She fell a second time right before her 88th birthday and sustained a TBI. We were still expected to pay the rent portion for her 30 day notice, which I understand but I am now arguing about a $47 charge that cannot be explained. This is the last thing we should be worried about when my grandmother is now dying as a result of that last fall.

Yesterday I toured The Gardens of Scottsdale. Amy gave me a thorough tour of the beautiful facility. Amy and her team are truly caring. It was evident that the staff is friendly and accommodating. The price point in this community for services and apartments offered is on point and very reasonable for the amenities.

I recently toured The Gardens of Scottsdale. We like the location in the beautiful Arcadia neighborhood. Great location with plenty of parking. Amy greeted me with enthusiasm, warmth and kindness. I noticed right away the residents engaged in an activity in main lobby living area. They seemed happy and alert even saying hello to me! Very friendly vibe here. Amy showed us a beautiful one bedroom apartment. It was beautifully updated, very light with big windows and quiet. Apt had living area, closet space and nice bath and kitchen and very well priced. We viewed the comfortable and cheerful common living area, art room and even met a very cheerful and kind caregiver who has worked there for 20 years! Clean and fresh throughout, no odors walking around. We were treated to a meal and lthe food was delicious! All in all, I would highly recommend.

I just started working here six weeks ago already I feel at home. The staff is so kind and caring. The residents are very welcoming. It’s a beautiful place to work.

I work as a physical therapist at Gardens and love the team I get to be a part of! Everyone on the team is truly a kind, fun person with the best interests of the residents at heart. They treat all residents with care and respect and make going to work fun! The residents at Gardens are just amazing people and I enjoy the privilege of working with them!
