We couldn't have gotten through a very difficult time for Mom without all the care and support from Firstlight Homecare.  Mom was living alone when she suddenly needed full-time care while her family lived out of state.  Barron immediately assured us his team was up for the task, and that remained true during the months Mom remained in SCW.  I had the pleasure to meet several of Mom's caregivers during my trips in.  My mind eased to witness their friendly engagement with her and see Mom's appreciation for them.  They understood the difference between helping and over-helping, many remarking how important it was to also respect Mom's dignity and independence.  Everyone spoke highly about working for Barron and Riche.  And it is evident this Firstlight Homecare company values their employees. Barron and Riche were available, courteous, and kind with us when questions or needs for tweaks arose.  Mom smiled anytime Barron stopped by to check in. He always stepped up. So grateful to have been referred to this organization.

Our mother, at 94 years of age, could no longer live independently in her own home, and with First Light's assistance, she was able to come home to continue her recovery from hospitalization for a broken ankle.She has several medical conditions requiring diligent attention and we found that Barron's compassionate care, great wit and purposeful management of Mom's needs were exactly what our family had hoped for in her transition from independence to nurtured home care.Riché, Barron's right hand in the office, was consistently aware of our mother's daily needs, and she scheduled caregivers who she knew could best address those needs. We were always pleased with the staff notes after each day's shifts, so that our family was always aware of changes in Mom's daily activities and general health. Again, Riché's staffing abilities were exceptional and so appreciated.Communication, scheduling, staffing and billing were clear and timely. Caregivers were supportive and truly made it possible for Mom to remain at home as her ankle healed. She enjoyed their care and company, and felt that she had her own "Team" cheering her on.It is without hesitation that I recommend First Light's compassionate Home Care!

This company's services were vital during a difficult time!  Barron Hodges who is the owner personally did the assessment and then was also the caregiver since the rest of his employees were busy during the pandemic. He offered excellent respite care so my son could rest from caring for his father recuperating from COVID.
