List of Nandini Sharma Md's Reviews
Dr Nandini Sharma does not like when you ask her questions. I am my grandparents medical power of attorney and she told them she feels that I am intimidating because I ask clarifying questions. She wants patients that fall into line and do not question her process. She speaks over you and makes you feel stupid when asking for clarification. She wants to be the smartest person in the room. She never communicated this to me, she just told my grandparents to find another Dr. She never uploads any info to the portal so review and blames the understaffing for MONTHS. Her team is slow to respond and rude at the desk. This entire practice is like this IMO.
Very disappointing. I saw Dr. Sharma on April 28 and was given an order for blood work. Next available appointment was June 21st and I received a call on June 16th saying I needed to have the bloodwork redone because it needed to be done 2 weeks prior to the appointment. The scheduler said she would send order to my lab but that did not happen so I can not get blood work done prior to appointment. It would have been nice to know about the 2 weeks at my initial appointment! Now the next appointment is August 16th FIVE months after my initial appointment!
Dr Sharma does not have the best bedside manner, but as far as a physician specialist in Nephrology, she is absolutely outstanding. When your talking about Kidney disease, your talking about life and death. She has kept a friend of mine who is in his late 70's alive with just 1/4 of a kidney, and he is not only alive but thriving... Riding ATV's out in the desert and geocaching. Dr Sharma is one of the best in her field, and I can put up with lacking bedside manner of I trust the doctor who is opening me up on the surgery table, and I trust her!
Why do I have to be on hold for an hour just to get your fax number? Why can't you put it on your website?
Back in 2015 I had kidney disease and I tried to prolong from going on dialysis since, I have experienced this in my family history. This lady is ruthless and evil, and told me I was going to die if I didn't go on dialysis. You talk about no compassion! She wasn't my primary specialist but I tried to give her a chance. But after 1 month of craziness, I hurried up and went back to my primary specialist. I wouldn't go back to her if she was the last kidney doctor on earth. She also treated a friend of mine with kidney problems the same way with evil comments and totally no compassion.
Nandini Sharma is a very disappointing physician. She gave my mother less than minimal consultation time, to say the least. She did not respect my request to have my mother's grim diagnosis be delivered with myself by her side; instead coldly delivering it to my mother (who was alone in a hospital bed), that she has cancer and that she (Sharma) needed to rush on to go see another patient. When Sharma finally returned my call, (she stated that she forgot to call)) she was extremely rude to me and told me she didn't have time to talk to me about my mother's condition and that I should just go to a pharmacy and get a blood pressure monitor myself. (my mother was hospitalized with over 200 BP). Her prior treatment of my mother was lacking the needed attention to obtain the correct tests, diagnosis', and treatment plans. Mayo Clinic has since taken over my mother's care, although the wasted time we spent under Sharma's 'care' will never be able to be remedied. I consider Sharma's negligence, disrespect and basic incompetence a safety threat to all current and future patients.
My sister has tried to call 3 times last week and let it ring and ring...each time no one answered the phone. I tried to call today and was put on hold for several minutes and no one answered. This type of administrative deficit does not give patients a sense that the doctor cares about them if no one can even answer the phone. My sister wanted clarification about how to take one of her medicines they discussed during the tele-appointment. We had to ask her primary if she had any idea of how she wanted her to take it. The tele-appointment we originally had, the doctor talked so fast that neither of us could catch it all. I'm sure the doctor knows what she is doing, but if you can't ask questions, or even call to confirm an appointment....what options do patients have.
Nandini Sharma is a poor excuse for a physician. She gave my mother less than minimal consultation time, to say the least. Her staff was very rude to my mother, especially Megan . Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
