Dr. Orris performed my gastric sleeve surgery 6/21/2023. I'm down 16 lbs from surgery in just about a month and lost about 8lbs on the pre-op diet, so I am feeling awesome! I have Surgery Plus and the whole process was quick and easy to get approved for surgery. Tip: If you have Surgery Plus- be sure to ask about hotel/travel and per diem benefits! I am a nurse and was honestly really worried about having this type of surgery in an outpatient setting, but I was assured by Dr. Orris and his team that I would be okay. I put my trust in him and have to say, it was an excellent experience. Immediately post-op and for about 2-3 days afterwards I had A LOT of nausea, which was explained to be normal and due to swelling of the stomach after surgery. The day after my surgery I went back in to have my drain removed and was told I could do the IV clinic if I felt I needed it. (Which I did and am so thankful this was offered). Pain was very minimal- I never even took Tylenol! Anne Marie is the heart and soul of this place- she travels between the offices and I swear she is everywhere and does everything! Elvia took great care of me for my day 1 post op appointment and got me well hydrated with 2 bags of IV fluids. Mike is the nutritionist and he is so helpful and kind- you can tell he really wants to help his patients! He even gave some advice to my wife who joined me on a post op appt. Dr. Orris is a serious, no nonsense kind of guy. However, he took a lot of time to talk with me and discuss my care, options, what to expect, etc. I felt comfortable and safe in his care. He even gave me his personal number if I encountered any problems in the process. I've NEVER had a doctor do that! My one negative is that the office is being restructured and a lot of the nurses in the surgical center are clearly new or inexperienced in the specialty. The circulator in the actual surgery (dang do I wish I remembered her name) was very seasoned and made me feel very comfortable for my actual surgery. However, the pre-op nurse didn't even know basic medications and once she found out I was a nurse was basically asking me for opinions on jobs that sounded like she wouldn't be too stressed out or have to work too hard.... Growing pains are definitely part of the experience but most everyone I came across was kind and helped me get through this process. If you are thinking about surgery, do it. If you are thinking about using AZ Weight Loss- do it!

These people are ridiculous. They have called me 6 times now to “remind” me of appointments I have never made. According to them I also had some kind of surgery, etc. I have NEVER been to them, EVER! I spoke to their front desk and they were rude and unprofessional, and then they passed me along to their Office manager, Tiffany, who also has no idea what she is doing. I hope their dr who they say I have seen, Dr Orris, is ready for things to get sticky because their will be investigations into his practice and staff. I feel bad for him but hopefully this will open their eyes up on the medical fraudulent practices they are doing in their offices. Again, I have NEVER been at this practice not would I ever want to at this point! So shady and it is unnerving to see that people are being scammed by them. I hope everyone that had had a surgery here has made sure with their insurance to make sure they were charged correctly and not been scammed by these people. I will be contacting my insurance to make sure that there are no charges from this place.

Dr. Orris did my sleeve 6 weeks ago and I'm feeling and looking better already. Dr. Orris and Mike have been fantastic. Great experience so far.

What an amazing group of people. Mike Murphy is incredible he is an inspiration to us all I wish I could have met him sooner I follow him on Facebook and although I don't always participate in his challenges he always keeps you thinking about making good choices. Everyone's journey is different but Mike is there to support you through it, That's important!

I had my Gastric Sleeve with Dr.Orris 5/11/22 I am almost 1-year Post-Op and I am incredibly grateful I found AZ Weight loss Clinic from consultation to surgery day they have been extremely helpful and easy to work with. Dr.Orris is always very thorough and professional I will always recommend this clinic for any weight loss procedures because the doctor and staff are always there for you and have your best interest!

I had a gastric sleeve done in July 2021 and have lost 120 pounds! Dr Buddensick is so encouraging and answers all your questions and Mike the dietitian is so knowledgeable! My only regret is that I waited so long.
