List of Deborah Rowan's Reviews
While I'd recommend Momdoc for annuals and minor gyno issues I do not for prenatal care. I'm 22 weeks pregnant and looking for a new doctor due to general lack of patient engagement. I've seen 3 providers at the Tempe office but had Dr. Rowan for my last few appointments. She maybe spent five minutes tops with me talking about my weight gain and how I'll end up getting a c-section. I had to ask about lab results to which the response was "normal" as if I know what normal is and she continuously asks me about genetic testing I've declined multiple times. I've had to google everything about being a first time mom and it's been a disappointing experience. For example, I got extremely dizzy, nauseated, and sweaty during my 20 week ultrasound. When I mentioned it I just got a shoulder shrug and right onto scheduling my next appt. I googled it a week later to find out you should not lay flat on your back after 20 weeks because it cuts the blood supply to the baby! That's some pretty important information! I can check my weight and blood pressure at home. What I need from the doctor is vital information to keep me and my baby safe. Sorry but Momdoc is a puppy mill and I feel their just trying to milk my insurance for the 12 covered visits and c-section fee instead of caring for what I need as a first time mom.
Very very bad experience. Hate my life aftwr delivery. Caused a 4th degree tearing.
I was admitted to the hospital at 11pm and never saw the OB. Was supposed to see me and never showed. Ended up leaving without being discharged because I waited almost 24 hours and never heard from her.
The most caring and delightful well knowledgeable doctor I have ever had.
I had a great experience both at this facility and with Dr Rowan throughout my first pregnancy. Not sure what's up with the negative reviews. The atmosphere is comfortable and informal, which I loved. I always felt like I was listened to, seen in a timely manner, and I was always able to be seen same day or next when needed. Dr. Rowan was great. She explained things thoroughly, gave me options, and I never felt like I was being excluded from decisions about my own healthcare. It's important to give credit where its due and both MomDoc and Dr Rowan were great.
Did not like my experience here. They were always behind. The nurses seemed like they didn't know what they were doing some of the time. Switching to a different OB GYN.
Went to both this location and the Scottsdale location. Never going to a momdoc facility ever again. I feel I was not given the care I needed. Doctors weren't very informative. They would cancel appointments on me and the also kept switching my doctor for various reasons. I'm very disappointed that I had to experience my pregnancy with such unprofessional people.
I called this office asking for someone and was rudely hung up on. I called back and was sent directly to voicemail. (Opinions 8 and 9 are obviously made up to increase the ratings). I will be looking for another OBGYN elsewhere.
I had never met Dr. Rowan until I lost my baby last week at 17 weeks along. She was the dr on call when it was time to deliver and she made the experience even more horrible than it already was. Terrible bedside manner, rude comments, impatience, fought with nurses in front of us WHILE I was delivering and she did NO paperwork on my delivery which has made this past week a nightmare. I cannot believe that someone like her is allowed to treat patients.
I know Dr. Rowan to be a great doctor and a good person. I know that she loves to deliver babies and care for women!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
