I have not yet had my surgery but my initial visits were informative, and on time, and I felt like Dr Mahoney listened to my concerns and gave me options for care. He also has a sense of humor which I love.

Dr. Mahoney is very cheerful, caring, patient, and listens intently. He spent more than enough time, along with a wonderful intern, going over X-Rays in detail, examining my hand thoroughly, and recommending the least invasive form of treatment. He performed shoulder replacement surgery 3 years earlier and still remembered me, checked out my shoulder, and even got some exercises and a stretch band for me when I told him my shoulder blades have been bothering me. Additionally after my surgery 3 years ago, he called after business hours to check on my pain level and surgery site. How many doctors take the time to do that anymore?! He truly is invested in his patients. I live 1.75 hours away and have several options for surgical care,along the way, but would not even consider going elsewhere. He and his staff from the appointment scheduler, check-in receptionist, nurse, and X-Ray technician are top notch, as well as the excellent Intern that was working with him, are all EXCEPTIONAL!!! May I add that I was 30 minutes early and was called back in less than 5 minutes! For these reasons and more, I won't go anywhere else! TOI has amazing talent clinic wide!

Dr Mahoney is the best! Knowledgeable, thorough, and very skilled surgeon! Excellent in communicating various options and therapies with surgery as a very last resort.

Everyone was great from the front office to X-ray to Dr Mahoney! He explained everything thoroughly while showing me my X-ray results, options and plan. He was very knowledgeable, personable,. and kind. I will definitely continue seeing him for my shoulder problem and would definitely recommend him.
