If you’re looking for a caring and considerate OBGYN, I recommend that you FIND SOMEONE OTHER THAN Dr. Catherine Westerband. Dr. Westerband delivered two of my babies. I remember that during my pregnancies I was scared, stressed out, and in pain all the time, and I heard her tell one of the nurses that I was making up my pain complaints. She mocked me during my c-section to deliver my second child when I had a panic attack. I finally asked her if she spoke to all her patients like she did to me after she belittled me during the placement of my iud. She apologized then and tried to sell me some products that her clinic was pushing at the time. Looking back, I never should have stayed with her for both deliveries. I never should have, but I was so inexperienced. After the IUD incident, I found a new doctor. I urge you to find someone other than Dr. Westerband too.

Seen her twice the first time she told me she is only working because she has to and not because she wants too. The second time I seen her I attempted to discuss birthing options and she told me she has no time to talk about this with me because she sees 30 patients a day and had me out of the room in under 5 minutes. She seems as if she is ready to be done working and had no compassion and was very rude.

I've been Dr Westerband's patient since we moved to Tucson 16 years ago and have been very pleased with the care she provides. She's professional, efficient, and attentive to my health problems every time I submitted her a concern.

Dr. Westerband and staff are amazing. I've never had any problems with getting hold of anybody. I would highly recommend this doctor's office to anybody that is currently pregnant.

Dr Westerband is a no nonsense doctor. I felt very comfortable with her exam. I know her to be very knowledgeable from past experience. I hadn't seen her for quite some time and would recommend her to anyone looking for a GYN Dr.

I've been with Dr Westerband for almost 20 yrs. She has been kind and understanding. I have a complex medical history and she was very knowledgeable with treating me.

If i could leave less than a one star review I would. I went to Gensis northwest on La Cholla SPECIFICALLY to get my copper iud out. Yesturday I had a pap and my doctor highly recommended me getting it taken out due to an allergic reaction that was causing alot of pain, swelling, and discomfort. My doctor did not recommend this facility and the only reason I chose this facility is they could get me in the next day and the 4 other facility's I called weren't seeing new patients until November. I was brought to a room that was not cleaned. Did not have paper pulled out onto the seat yet had dirty gloves on counter and a lubrication bottle open and clearly just used. I was seen by Dr. Catherine M. Westerband, MD She was hard core trying to convince me nothing was wrong it looks perfectly fine and to NOT GET IT TAKEN OUT. She was soooo adamant on it. I had said multiple times my doctor clearly stated after a pap that she also recommended to get it taken out so i was not looking for her opinion if its infected I want it out please i have felt it's has been causing alot of discomfort and she said that it was not swollen irritated or infected and I had to again state for her to please take it out so shes like k done. Took her gloves off said nothing else and left the room. I seriously had to check the trash to make sure it was removed because it felt like nothing and how adamant she was on keeping it in. She was very rude and I would not recommend this facility.
