Fantastic nephrologist. Had just moved south for retirement when had to be admitted to the hospital with Stage IV kidney failure. He was so very comforting and helpful putting me on the transplant list.

Here I am today 10 years post kidney transplant and I owe my life to Dr. Whittman. He is by far the BEST doctor I've ever had (and I've had hundreds of doctors over the last 15 years). He is so wonderful and caring. He takes the time to listen to you and helps you out whenever he can. He is the absolute best and his staff are also the absolute greatest.

A most important doctor in Arizona and the USA. Unusually professional and respectful and loving of his patients. He's not in this profession for the money. He's highly trained at UCLA and a most valuable asset to our community. The state medical association and government officials need to recognize his contributions to society. He is a most most critically conscious medical person and keeps up with Ofl new ideas in healing . We're extremely fortunate to have his practice in Tucson Arizon

Dr Whitman might be a good Dr.problem is his staff is very rude, unconcerned about your health, and lazy to the extreme. I saw him twice, twice he ordered tests. The person responsible for getting insurance approval is totally incompetent. You wait weeks for her to do her job. Its just not worth the frustration!

I have seen Dr. Whittman several time over the last 3or 4 years and he is great with me. I learn from him and he has a good sense of humor. I hate going to most Doctors but going to him is a delight.

Dr Whittman is an excellent physician. He takes time with patients and attempts to answer all questions. He explains his answers very well and makes sure patients understand prior to leaving his office. Sure wish he could be our Internist as he is very knowledgeable in most areas of medicine and very patient. It is difficult to find a physician with so many plus factors. He is a top of the line doctor.

My dad is under care of Dr. Whitman for many years. In every visit, Dr. Whitman takes time to discuss the plan of care with us, respect our concerns. No matter how busy his days are, we don't feel rush with his visit. Last month, my dad was in the rehab center. The medication at the rehab center raised my dad's potassium level to critical level and caused muscle twitching . He was admitted to the inpatient hospital. After discharge, I received several phone calls from his office for following up post hospital discharge. We really appreciate his care for my dad 's chronic kidney disease. Dr. Whittman always treats us with respect, values our concerns and provides the appropriate treatments to the best outcomes for my dad. I high recommend Dr. Whittman to any kidney patients whose seek Nephrologist care.
