I had my hip surgery done in October of last year. I was in pain for 2 years, saw 3 different doctors and then found him. Words can not express how wonderful I feel and how fast my recovery was. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Smith, his group, and the surgery center. I felt informed and supported through the whole process to replace my left hip. I am 80, and two years ago I had my right hip replaced in Oregon using the “old” posterior method. Things went fine, but it was a long recovery. Now at 3 weeks out, I’m doing all my normal activities…driving, shopping, housework, long dog walks, etc. I expect to get back on the bike and the tennis courts this summer. I was referred to Dr. Smith because he does the anterior approach to hip replacement - much less invasive and a quicker recovery time. Dr. Smith and his staff are not only the top in their field but are very personable and put you at ease the minute you walk into their pleasant office environment. They prepared me for what to expect before, during, and after surgery. His website has an informative video showing exactly how the surgery is performed, as well as other helpful information on how best to prepare and recover from the surgery. I love that the patient room walls display photos from prior patients showing them back doing their favorite hobbies. I could not rate Dr. Smith and his team any higher!

Dr Jordan Smith gave me a total hip replacement 30 days ago. I am a 78 year old man. I was playing light tennis 9 days later and all out doubles tennis within 3 weeks. Immediately after surgery and through the healing process I experienced no pain due to expert pain management. Surgeon Jordan Smith, MD, and his capable assistant Timothy Martinez, PA-C, are an extremely efficient, skilled, and personable team. I had a total anterior hip arthroplasty to relieve pain and restore function to my hip after x-rays revealed joint damage due to osteoarthritis. My only previous surgery, or for that matter any hospital experience, was for a tonsillectomy when I was six-years-old (I'm now 69). But any trepidation I had was more than ameliorated by every member of Dr. Jordan's surgical group. The nurses were fantastic, and I can't say enough about the care I received by Timothy Martinez. What a knowledgeable and compassionate front man for Dr. Jordan's practice! He inspires confidence and trust in his team's medical expertise, and took time to answer all my questions made me feel like I was important and not just another patient on a conveyor belt. Dr. Jordan and the staff at Oro Valley Surgical Suites receive my highest and unqualified recommendation! AAA+++

Dr Jordan Smith is simply, the best! I have had three surgeries performed by him and his team. He is kind, caring, extremely competent and in my opinion, the #1 orthopedic surgeon in Tucson!

Easy to find pleasant office location. I am 75 YO and have had both hips replaced by Dr. Smith. He and all staff from front office, X-ray, and throughout clinic very friendly, professional, have expensive educational credentials and substantial experience. Very thorough and individualized diagnosis followed by a clear easy to understand plan toward resolution. Surgery, if required, occurs in this clinic's own conveniently located independent surgical suite with all current technology in place rather than in a hospital. Walked out of surgery on my own with a simple cane. Post operative healing lasted less than 10 days. Two week follow-up very thorough. Have had virtually zero complications and walk better now than when I was 25 YO.

First, I arrived on time to fill out the most detailed request for medical history that I have ever experienced. Next, on in to a room to wait for the doctor. Oops, no doctor. Waited a reasonable amount of time. Then off for a hip X-ray. Everyone very professional. Back to the original room. In comes in Dr. Jordan Smith, no in comes TIMOTHY! Big, extremely well built X Marine. Well regarding Timothy, he was smarter and gentler than he was big! He was extremely thorough asking me many many questions about my painful hip. I am smiling as I write for he was extremely kind, thorough, and sympathetic. He suggests an injection in my hip. I am listening but am emotionally somewhat resistant. I can see P.A. Timothy understands my reluctance. He explains and assures me of limited discomfort. He left the little medical room and came back with material and a needle which he hid from my sight. He hid the needle because it was a BIG NEEDLE. He began the injection constantly reassuring me. Did it hurt? You know the answer. It was uncomfortable. Dr smith and his team are amazing. He had the misfortune to go in after another surgeon had messed up my hip. And he did an amazing job. I was informed of what was going to happen at all times. Felt totally safe In his care and the after surgical meeting with Dr Tim was amazing Very caring I would and will recommend dr smith again and again
