List of Mark Walsh's Reviews
I saw Dr Walsh at the Corondelet offices of Retina Associates, Tucson AZ. I found this doctor to be abrupt, condescending, and rough during his examination of my eyes. (Gentle and kind would be my preference as I was no reason for the former.) I am still unclear as to his findings and what they might mean for the health of my eyes. The office itself was crowded, likely because there are several specialists practicing there. And although I was advised to expect at least 2 hours for my appointment, the way the office is managed actually contributed to the unnecessary, extra long wait time. During my 2.5 hours there, the photos and preliminary eye exams took about 20minutes, the doctor actually spent under 10 minutes examining me (and most of that time he was dictating notes to his assistant), and the rest was spent waiting for each event.
Still having problems with eye. Numerous visits with 2 different doctors and still have a concern with vision. Been going on for 6 months since first lazar treatment. Had one done in June and another last Tuesday in Green Valley by Dr.Joseph Dec 18. Can't see today out of left eye again. The appointments are outstanding to get but still have the problem. Need some help please.
Dr. Walsh is the most arrogant, disrespectful and dismissive doctor I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with.
It was my first experience with Dr. Walsh. He was in a rush and did not allow numbing of my eyes enough time, so it was exceptionally painful.
Dr. Walsh is by far the most professional, competent, compassionate eye doctor there is! He treated me for two eye surgeries, delivering perfect results. The office staff are friendly and always available to answer all questions. Office is very busy and may sometimes be quick. Dr. Walsh is confident in his abilities, he’s perfect in what he does and has wonderful bedside manner.
Great surgeon!!!!!!
A very competent doctor
Dr Walsh treated both my wife and my mother. He was thorough, caring, discussed options, and informative. We would not hesitate in recommending him or going back again.
Dr. has no time to allow me to ask questions. I didn't know or understand what was happening and barely got to ask a question. Yet the summary sheet, I got later says; Patient understands condition, prognosis and need for follow up care. All questions answered and patient understands. My level of trust is based solely on his educational background and my impression that his equipment appeared to be state of the art.
Practice makes perfect does not adequately describe Dr. Mark Walsh, MD of Retina Associates of Tucson. I would say Perfect makes perfect is more apprepriate. He was chosen by the prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital (ranked 3rd in US by US News Best Hospitals in the US) to be in their Residency Program in Ophthalmology. I found him to be an excellent diagnostician and skilled surgeon who quickly reattached my detached retina and made my eye function again. His efficiency is made possible by a very well trained, skilled and professional staff. From a personal experience I would highly recommend Dr. Walsh when you have a retina issue and if you want the best possible medical care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
