Terrible never even looks at blood results calls me obsess ! I have lupus and he doesn't communicate with my other Drs I've been trying to get thyroid meds he hasn't even looked at my results even though my rumetoligest ask him to.

Worst Doctor I have ever encountered with. It is very clear he does not care about his patients or their well being. He is very dismissive and shows no signs of care or concern when your thoughts or concerns are brought to his attention. He is not proactive to finding the problem and what is actually going on. Horrible, if you want someone who cares about you and your health, dont go to this man!

I switched from another practice around a year ago and am so pleased with Dr. Purkis. Thus far it has been easy to get an appointment and deal with prescriptions. He has taken appropriate time with me face to face and has resolved my issues.

Refused to see me as a patient when I was really sick and needed my doctor. I had already one Covid test and it was negative. Made me wait 48 hours, get another Covid test (negative)and still wouldn’t see me. I needed my doctor and he turned me away and said to go to urgent care or the ER. Not the kind of provider I will ever trust again.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but given the reviews that I have seen in this site, I have to question whether some of these folks have seen the same Dr Purkis that treated my wife and I for the last 6 years. Dr Purkis is a solid physician who is a straight-shooter who uses direct questioning and intellect to provide sound advice and treatment. As a generalist, Dr Purkis knows when to involve specialists I order to provide and recommend the most sound treatment.

When my "regular doctor" retired I was a bit concerned that I would be able to find a "new" doctor who would be "as good" as my "old" doctor. Dr. Michael Purkis quickly dispelled any of my concerns. I simply cannot believe some of the negative comments I have read here regarding Dr. Purkis. He is very professional l and appears to be highly knowledgeable and proficient in his profession. One of the first things I experienced is that Dr. Purkis is very "up front" and honest. He "tells it like it is" without mincing words. Perhaps some may regard that as being "insensitive", however, personally, I don't want someone, particularly my doctor. to "sugar coat" anything about my health! He "got my attention"! In a period of about three months, I lost ever thirty pounds and my A1C was significantly reduced. When I returned for my "follow up" visit, it was like visiting 'family'! Dr Purkis expressed his delight, even "excitement", at my progress. I highly recommend TVFP and Dr. Purkis!
