List of MItchell R Halter's Reviews
Dr. Halter is so easy to talk to and has a wonderful sense of humor. Helped me and explained everything so I could understand it. Very honest and professional. Super glad he is my doctor. Everyone in the office is really polite, friendly, and has great smiles. Thank you to all of you👍👍❤️❤️
I have had pain from the shingles in my right arm for over a year. I started going to the Desert Pain clinic on 137 E. Ft. Lowell and after a few weeks, they finally got the approval from my insurance company for a pain blocker. I had the pain blocker and all it did was make my entire arm numb but the pain was still there. The doctor never called to see how I was and no one from the pain clinic called either. I would recommend anyone needing help with pain to pass this place by and find a reputable clinic.
Dr. halter was the first doctor to effectively treat my burning mouth syndrome. I hade it for 9 months before I got the correct diagnosis and meds .
You simply cannot beat this guy. He's in the top 1%.
This so called doctor grossly misdiagnosed my loved one and when my veteran loved one began to recover, Halter conspired with others including hospital administrators to cover up his malpractice, presenting false information disabling this veteran from entering the VA. Their collective neglect and the agonizing atrocities done to this veteran. Halter and many entities, in order to cover their criminal malpractice, conspired, through unlawful means, to disable the family from having any authority in this veterans medical care with the help of a corrupt judge and attorney firm, notorious for stealing estates of the elderly! Through gross neglect they committed unspeakable treatment to this veteran and ultimately killed him through court order. Halter and his conspirators rendered me and any family member helpless to save our loved one and traumatized us all! One day, Halter and every conspirator will have to stand before Almighty God for taking the life of this veteran who dedicated his life in the military to keep this country and the very reprobates who killed him, safe!
I would recommend Dr. Halter to anyone. He is the most compassionate and caring physician I have ever known, and I've known a lot, both professionally and personally. He took all the time I need to examine and explain his treatment and procedures. Since he has been sick, I have deteriorated drammatically, and this is not Dr. Halter's fault. It is an example of the poor care from other non-skilled physicians. I am thankful to have had over 6 years with Dr. Halter, they have been the best 6 years I have had since my illness started 19 years ago. Thank you Dr. Halter and I hope you get better.
I have had VERY positive outcomes with Dr. Halter. He is a brilliant man and I can see that to some patients he may come off as abrupt. He responds very well if you tell him you dont understand something he says, etc. I saw him for an initial consult, he recommended I needed some help from a pain psychologist prior to any procedures due to trauma from previous doctors (the BEST in Tucson-HA!). In the meantime I was helped by the Nurse Practitioner Kathy Davis. Medication was part of my treatment but eventually I was ready for some epidural steroid injections by Dr. Halter. He's worked on myself and my Husband and we think the world of him!!
I was referred to this Dr for my excruciating back pain. I was taking 150 10/325 mg percocets a month but when I first meet with him he told me he doesn't prescribe meds like that to people like me because I smoked cigarettes, about a pack a week. So I was cut off from taking that many to nothing and he treated me like I was less then a person. I told him I was very close to suicide from t the withdrawals not to mention the agonising pain. If you want a pain Dr who cares about you and tries to help you and what your going through do not see him.
Was relieved to finally find a doctor that didn't want to load me up with pilld and send me on my way. I had a cervical discectomy and spinal fusion at age 29 and ended up with more pain than I started with. I had several doctors, including the neurosurgeon that preformed the surgery try to convince me I was fine. It wasn't until I decided to see a Pain Management Dr. that I FINALLY (almost a year after surgery) confirm my pain and suggest treatment that ISN'T a pocket full of pills! I'm still undergoing diagnostic nerve root injections, but am optimistic that Dr. Halter will finally be the one that provides relief that doesn't come from a pill. I highly recommend him and am surprised at his negative reviews.
I have had two back surgeries, each left me worse off, in addition to intractable migraine headaches. I can't count the number of doctors that I have seen who said nothing could be done for my back. Dr. Halter took the time to listen to me, he was the first doctor that actually performed a full examination, and the first doctor that took the time to answer ALL of my questions. I was referred to him for epidural injections (these never helped in the past) and I was surprised when he told me that he would be hesitent to do an epidural (because every pain doctor seems to go down this road). He thought that my pain was because of arthritic facet joints, I had some facet injections that temporarily stopped my pain and then underwent a procedure that burned the nerves that went to the joints. I'm not pain free, but for the first time in over 10 years of suffering and being told that nothing could be done I have been able to get my life back go bowling, go hiking, and can have relations with my husband. I am so glad that I was sent to him. He tried several medications for my migraines, some produced some pretty bad side effects, but after a year of trying different medications I am now on a regime that seems to be working. I went from spending 10 or 12 days each month in bed in a dark room to one bad headache each month.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
