Nicole Hook's Online Review Report Card

I've been seeing Dr. Hook for several years for related gyn needs. I find her approachable and knowledgeable. You really find out how good your doctor is in when you have a serious health condition. Dr. Hook has been there for me repeatedly.

Dr. Hook is compassionate, she listens, explains and discusses options. I've always felt comfortable with this practice. Knew her 20+ years ago after my 1st child. Now my child goes to Dr. Hook for her Women's Health. Staff was courteous. Thank you Dr. Hook.

Dr. Hook traumatized my 13 year old daughter. My daughter was embarrassed to have her male pediatrician look at her peri-area, so I made an appointment with a female gynecologist. She was HORRIBLE with her! Dr. Hook said she was "out of her comfort zone" with a girl so young. She screamed about her staff scheduling her and made her feel so awkward and humiliated. My poor little girl. Her first trip to a gynecologist.

She was always so informative, answered all my questions and genuinely cared for me as a patient. I had to get a c section and she stayed so she can deliver the baby. Everything went well I had no infections and my baby did great! She’s so sweet!

Dr. Hook is very knowledgeable. She is direct and to the point which some people might take as being cold or make them feel rushed. However, I don't feel this is her intent. She is friendly, but again she is direct and to the point. This is my first pregnancy and so far my experience with her as been great.

She is always willing to take time to answer my questions. She makes me feel at ease. She is very intelligent and compassionate.

I would never recommend this OBGYN. Her demeanor was cold and rude! She interrupts you when you try to answer her questions and she barely looks up from her computer. I felt like I was talking to a robot that was trying to rush me along. Horrible experience! I never recieved a follow up regarding my lab work and urine tests either. Avoid at all costs!!!! However, the front desk staff is extremely helpful and prompt.

Had a hysterectomy 8 yrs ago and im still not right. I would not ever recommend her to anyone.

I loved Dr. Schalk. She and her staff were always very friendly and welcoming. I had a standard pregnancy with no complications, so I don't know anything about her ability to diagnose problems, but whenever I had questions or concerns, she listened and gave me well thought-out answers.I had trouble deciding what to put for wait time at the office, because that did vary. Some days I would go to leave my sample and the nurse would be waiting for me when I got out. Other times I did have to wait up to an hour.The only reason I didn't use Dr. Schalk for my recent pregnancy was because I really didn't like my experience at TMC so I went back to my old doctor who delivers at St. Joseph's. If I could have had Dr. Schalk at St. Joseph's, I would have stayed with her.

had to contact them three times to get the prescription filled and was faxed into the wrong location, had to drive across town to pick up the prescription.
