List of Seth Wilentz's Reviews
Excellent dr. I always go back to him. He makes you feel very comfortable and at ease.
Amazing dermatologist!! I've been to a few and he is by far the best. He's so nice and easy to talk to. He listens to all your concerns. Definitely going back to him!!!!!
As the previous commentators exposed, Mr. Wilentz's intentions are obvious by his rushed service, lack of sympathy, and rude manners when seen patients. And, as it were not enough, he misdiagnoses and repeatedly provides no solutions to the problems you bring to his care asking you, THE PATIENT, instead, as a previous commenter said, how would you like your problem solved. I know it could be tough for inexperienced doctors, but he's not new. He should definitely work in his patient's care manners as well as to improve his outlook on doing what's necessary to treat patients diseases. I for one, stopped attending once he said there were no more treatments to my problems, when in fact there were several available. It was as if his only intentions were for me to keep showing up without proper results. Stay clear from this one. You have been warned.
I went in to have someone look at my acne. After a five minute exam he prescribed me some antibiotics. I figured the brevity of the exam was due to the fact that it was just acne and treatment should be fairly simple, but when I went back later after the medicine didn't work he was still rushed and not very helpful. He didn't give any advice, just asked what medicine I wanted to try next. Obviously, if I knew what to do I wouldn't be going to the dermatologist for help in the first place. Seemed very rude. I won't be returning.
I waited 40 minutes for this appointment. He didn't know what the rash on my hands and arms were from but still prescribed a whole slew of creams. He was insulting the ENTIRE 5 minutes I was sitting there and, when the appointment was over, he said "see ya". I'm calling my insurance company to complain about this terrible service and then i'm complaining to St. Lukes and asking for my money back.
This doctor is absolutely terrible. Stay away and do not waste your money. He was not able to properly diagnose Molescum and stated that this viral skin disease will simply go away. Very disappointed and definitely will not return. I guess luck of knowledge and professionalism explain why it is so easy to make an appointment with this so-called doctor.
Awefull, no one cares. Everything is rushed here.
Saw this doc for a minor issue. He was incredibly rude, spoke very quickly, and barely allowed me to get in a few words to ask questions about the problem that I was having. Barely examined the problem that I had and said it was something that he sees 3 times a day and not to worry. The office staff was nice and I got an appointment relatively quickly.
I went there with an acne problem - he tells me I am not the worst looking guy he's seen but NY has higher standards than where "you are probably from." Couldn't believe it. Tried to push accutane on me even though I expressly told him that my family has a medical history of having problems with the medicine. His response, "obviously the media got you scared." Unbelievably rude - will NEVER go back to see him.
The doctor and staff arrived 50 min after my appt. The nurse that was there was rude and unprofessional, letting us know he worked with incompetents. The doctor seemed to be in a rush, barely saw him for 5 min. Then I got my results back (Carcinoma), yet the office forgot to send the results to the surgeon's office, even after I called them 3 times to do so.I received a huge bill for the services because they forgot to charge my medical provider and had even my name wrong! I'm still trying to reach someone at that office to get them to void the statement.DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL MEDICAL PRACTICE IN NYC!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
