List of Shannon Fitzpatrick's Reviews
I saw Dr. FitzPatrick for partial numbness in a few fingers along with thumb issues. She asked a few questions and immediately recommended carpal tunnel surgery. She said it was urgent to get the surgery to avoid having my fingers go completely numb, which of course was terrifying. Also, she didn’t take X-rays of my hands to diagnose the thumb problems. Thank goodness my chiropractor advised getting a second opinion. I then saw an extraordinary doctor at Tucson Orthopaedic Institute who said carpal tunnel surgery is the LAST resort, not the first. He also said the scare tactics were “disingenuous” (i.e., dishonest) because that’s not how carpal tunnel syndrome works. He prescribed physical therapy, which is helping, and he also ordered X-rays and later MRIs, which revealed severe arthritis in a certain joint in both wrists. In retrospect, it seems as though Dr. FitzPatrick recommended carpal tunnel surgery less because that's what I need than because that’s what she’s selling.
Dr. Fitzpatrick is an amazing doctor. She is caring, informative, and a skilled surgeon. She is by far the best doctor I have had since I moved to Tucson.
I recently had the pleasure of receiving care from Dr. Shannon Fitzpatrick, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of amazing. Dr. Fitzpatrick is a highly skilled surgeon who specializes in upper extremity orthopedic procedures, and her expertise is evident from the moment you meet her From the initial consultation to the follow-up appointments, Dr. Fitzpatrick was incredibly thorough and informative, taking the time to explain every aspect of the procedure and what to expect during the recovery process Her attention to detail and genuine concern for my well-being made me feel confident that I was in good hands The surgery itself went smoothly, and I was amazed at how quickly I was able to recover. Dr. Fitzpatrick was with me every step of the way, checking in frequently and making sure that I was comfortable and on track for a successful recovery Overall, I cannot recommend Dr. Shannon Fitzpatrick highly enough.
Explained everything. Had Pisiformectomy on left hand.
I've been to Dr. Fitzpatrick twice and each time she impressed me. She takes her time, she listens well, she's very thorough, personable, and experienced. I appreciated her conservative approach and helpful advice.
When I shattered my wrist in December 2021, Dr. Fitzpatrick operated on my distal radius but not my ulna. She left the cast on for ONLY SIX DAYS! Within five weeks my wrist was extremely crooked (documented in her records) and less than two months later, it was "popping" out of place. This doctor refused to tell me what was wrong. I did not know that I had suffered an ulna fracture in December and now had an ulna joint instability until I received my records on 5-2-2022. I also learned that Dr. Fitzpatrick had falsified my medical records again and again.
Dr. Fitzpatrick is extremely knowledgeable and a superb surgeon. She operated on my hand which is now 100% thanks to her. She listened well and thoroughly explained everything prior to the surgery. I highly recommend her.
I am visiting the area for a month and wanted an opinion on my carpal tunnel issues, including the possibility of surgery here. I’m so glad I chose Dr. Fitzpatrick. She is the best listener and explainer among doctors that I have ever visited — and I’m 76 years old, so have seen quite a few. I learned a great deal about the nature of my condition and the various options for treatment— more than from my trusted doctor at home. Because I won’t be here that long, on her advice I won’t have surgery here, but I am so glad I talked with her. I recommend her most highly.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
