List of Shannon Howe's Reviews
I could not ask for a more caring doctor. Dr. Howe had been my Doctor for more than eighteen years and I hope I never have to change. She is the best of my doctors!
She was very thorough, and really took time to explain osteoarthritis.
Dr Howe herself was very thorough and knowledgeable about my condition. Even though she was under the impression the positive test that brought me in was a false positive, she took the situation seriously and didn't take any chances. The staff was polite and the facility was clean. I arrived 15 minutes early to a 9am appointment and only waited 15 minutes to be taken to a room.
Medical appointments during a pandemic can be scary. Thank you to Dr. Howe and staff for strictly observing good covid safe protocols and insisting the patients do the same. Dr. Howe is a respectful listener, a good problem solver, a kind person; I wish all doctors had her wonderful attributes. And did I mention smart? My favorite of my medical practioners for above listed qualities!
I feel blessed to have her as my doctor.
Primarily, her assistant came in and took my vitals. 5 mins later, came in Dr. Shannon Howe. She was very prompt and arrived on time. She was very kind as she introduced herself as greeted me. I was asked the reason for my visit. We discussed my well being and tests. She took her time and went over all my documentation sent to her from my primary doctor. With clothes on, She performed a physical exam looking at my joints, as well as my skin, tissues and muscles. As she performed my exam, I was asked if I was in any pain or suffer from any discomfort at any time. Afterwards, she discussed her findings and her tentative plan for care to me, as she listens to my view. She was very thorough and explained everything clearly at every step. She gave me options about my care. I was asked if I had any questions about our previous discussion and any thoughts and/or concerns. We collaborated on a plan for self care along with what medications she would prescribed. Very professional and clear.
I went in having been referred to a rheumatologist for a medical condition. Dr. Howe could only be described as cruel. I am appalled that someone like this practices medicine. If you have a rare disease, definitely see someone else.
Dr. Howe is by far one of the best physicians I see. I have seen many physicians due to my medical condition. She has a wonderful bedside manner and always addresses my issues with care and compassion.
Dr. Shannon Howe is a very good listener and treats you with respect. She takes her time and I never feel like I'm being rushed. She's empathetic and highly recommend her.
I live in the Phoenix valley and sought out Dr. Howe because there is a shortage of rheumatologist in the valley. I had all of my labs and results sent to their office. Waited for 2 1/2 weeks to even find out if the doctor would see me. Then at 4pm the day before my 8am appointment that I had planned for over 2 months they cancel on me. The staff could not even tell me why my appointment was canceled. Maybe dr. Howe is a great doctor, I guess I'll never know. But her office staff is beyond unprofessional and has zero empathy for patients who are suffering.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
