This doctor rushed my appointment. He declared that I will be in a wheelchair in such a tone as if he is punishing me for something. He was rather annoyed and did not provide me with any options.

Dr Hanks operated on my back. NEVER DID HE TELL ME PRIOR TO SURGERY HE MIGHT NEED TO MOVE NERVES AND THAT COULD CAUSE A DROP FOOT. AFTER SURGERY I TOLD HIM I WAS HAVING TROUBLE WALKING, HE ASKED TO SEE WHAT IT WAS AND SAID WELL YOU HAVE A DROPPED FOOT I MOVED NERVES. HAD HE TOLD ME PRIOR TO THE SURGERY I MIGHT NOT HAVE HAD THIS ELECTIVE SURGERY. I NOW LIVE WITH A DROP FOOT WHICH STOPS ME FROM WALKING WELL AND I NO LONGER CAN PLAY SPORTS I ENJOYED. I KNOW OTHER WHO TOO HAD THE SAME EXPERIENCE. SUGGEST YOU USE ANOTHER DOCTOR.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Hanks. He has gone out of his way numerous times to make sure I was getting the best care possible. I have had two spinal injections, a spinal fusion and two SI joint injections. He encourages patients to research their procedures and was reluctant to do surgery until there was no other option. My fusion was done beautifully and my scar is minimal. Would definitely recommend him.

Dr Hanks operated on my back L2 thru L5 over a year later I have more problems than prior to surgery. I now have a drop foot which Dr Hanks never said might happen with surgery, my pain level is worse now and more frequent. The doctor sends me for PT which hasn't worked, his attitude now is live with it. I found during visits his PA would see me offering different opinions than did Dr Hanks, when I attempted to share the different replies between he and his PA, rather than saying I will need to discuss this with my PA, he got angry. Post surgery lower spinal column protrudes, it's painful to sit against a hard backed chair. The doctor just shrugs this off saying it my bones. I have had other doctors look at this, without fail none understand how that can be . Bottom line suggest another surgeon.

Exceptionally personable, professional and patient. Excellent back surgeon. Staff are friendly and efficient. Surgery for my wife was extensive and she recovered fine. My time on the table is to come. I have complete confidence in him. Waiting is not a condemnation. Part of practice.

Very knowledgable and thorough

Treatedmy prostate cancer. Theradiation was easy and effectve with no after effects. Can't ask for more than that.

My dad has been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. I am visiting and was just told of his condition. Met w Dr. Hanks. Answered all my questions even the embarrassing ones. Very honest, positive, thorough at least with my limited reading on subject. Staff is very efficient.

Saw PA only. Too busy to see me or read MRI. Waited almost 2 months for appointment, insisted on having an MRI before appointment and never saw doctor. Would not recommend.

I had a lot of trouble with L4, L5 and S1. They were a mess and the sciatica I was experiencing was so horrible, I was beginning to have trouble walking, sitting, and sleeping. Dr. Hanks was wonderful. He listened to my problems, showed and explained the x-rays and MRI, fast forwarded me for surgery. Recovery took months, but he saw me regularly and continued to answer my questions, gave me a lot of hope, sent me to P.T. Today I can't believe that I once had such pain. He's the best. No hesitation in recommending him. Also the wait time to see him has disappeared. The clinic has changed the way they arrange appointments for various things. He's friendly, pleasant and professional. \
