Dr. James Gordon is a good man. He truly cares about his patients and their well-being. I highly recommend Dr. Gordon to anyone who needs an ENT.
As MANY people have pointed out on other social channels, I too was charged for services without knowledge before they were done. I was a longtime patient of Dr. Burgio and I'm disappointed that I have to write this as it's embarrassing to publicly admit. I am STILL paying on a bill that was almost $1,500 after $4,301 of "surgical" services were performed without my consent prior to those services being rendered. As someone with chronic mastoiditis, I have to see an ENT doctor once every 5 months to get my left ear "cleaned". Because that ear doesn't naturally expel ear wax I have to see an ENT to take it out once every 4-6 months for the rest of my life. I don't make a lot of money and these visits usually totaled in the $400-$600 range so it's already tough for me to budget for. These visits, once the doctor did arrive in the room, lasted all of 10-15 minutes. So, you can imagine the shock of getting a bill for over 3x the amount for a visit that did not last any longer or was any different than my other visits and seeing the line items labeled as surgery. Was there any talk about this with me, the financially responsible party, that SURGERY was being performed? No. Was there any discussion after the surgery was over that what I just went through was SURGERY? No. Just a bill that I have been dutifully trying to pay for over a year and a half now. I just don't think it's right that this has happened and, again, I feel embarrassed for even being public about it. I don't know what recourse I have but promises to follow up with me by the billing department have not yielded a callback. I guess I don't matter as a patient or deserve a phone call.
Having had a good experience with Dr Gambino at Valley ENT a couple of years ago for an ear infection, when I started experiencing some pain & scabbing in my nostrils, I decided I would check with him for help. I called about 2 weeks ago & today (Apr 5) was the earliest they could get me in because they said I had to have a procedural appointment due to it being for a specific issue I was requesting help with. Whatever that means - okay I waited. I had the appointment listed as 3:45pm. The office called yesterday to confirm the appointment & my husband had the phone. They confirmed the appointment with him for 4pm. I assumed the 3:45pm they had told me was to do paperwork, so still shooting to get there at 3:45pm. I called at 3:35 while we were enroute to make certain we were driving to the correct office. I was put on hold, then when the young woman came back on, she said the appointment would have to be rescheduled because I was supposed to check in at 3:30pm for the 4pm appointment. I was never ever told to be there at 3:30pm. I begged them to allow us to come on in - we were less than 5 minutes away - would have us there at 3:50pm. No - she said, Dr Gambino said no - so "doctor's order's" it would have to be rescheduled & the next appointment would be at least another 2 weeks. By that time, we will be away from Mesa. I told them to forget it, I could not do it & we were disconnected. I am very very disappointed. Have never had a doctor's office treat me with such disrespect.
I wouldn't recommend Valley ENT to anyone - I will never be back.
We just loved Dr. Redtfeldt! Not only for her excellent surgery skills, but she rocks at patient interaction. Her diagnosing skills and extensive knowledge make me feel very secure in her care.
Just finished surgery to remove my submandibular salivary gland with Dr. Kelsch. I waited way too long to have this done, struggled with it over 7 years. This last episode by far was the worst, and my time for putting it off was over. I searched Top Doc's and found Dr. Kelsch. I had been seen by another Dr. that recommended I have the gland removed, but he was certified in another skill set and was not a specialist like Dr. K. I showed up in Dr. K's office and was in so much pain that day and in his office he removed a stone that was trying to come out on it's own, and he got it out. I started feeling better right away. The prior Dr. saw the stone as well but opted to leave it in until surgery. That said a lot to me about who should "get the job". Because I waited so long it made the surgery much harder and more risky to free the facial nerves. You would only want a pro to do this surgery, Dr. Kelsch is that guy. A week out stitches removed...I'm feeling fine. A huge Thank You to Valley ENT and Dr. Kelsch
I have been an extremely satisfied patient of Valley ENT for almost a year. I had both dizziness and sinus problems which are now thankfully in the past! I am writing this review because I needed to be seen in an emergency situation due to pain in my ear after a root canal. I had the luck and pleasure of speaking with Araceli Aguayo, a medical assistant who, after listening to my plight, spent 10 minutes to arrange for me to see the doctor today! She was pleasant and efficient, never giving up until she got me that appointment. She, and others like her, make this practice a great one!
I contacted Dr. Raquel Redtfeldt to help me with a plugged up feeling in my ears. She took the time to do a thorough evaluation, asked dozens of questions and showed true concern for my wellbeing. Her diagnosis and path to recovery was exceptional. I carefully followed her directions and was very pleased with the results. She made it very clear that this process would take 3-4 weeks and true to her word midway through the 4th week I no longer had the plugged up ears feeling. Thank you Dr. Redtfeldt for you exceptional services and your follow up was far and away the best I have ever received. Thank you, Joe Maestas

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
