List of Damon B. Dixon's Reviews
Dr. Dixon lacks compassion. As a cardiac nurse, I was seriously disappointed in his availability to explain the pathophysiology behind my daughters disease process. We were provided with a scary diagnosis following an echo and he failed to give us options. He told our daughter would be at risk for strokes but didn’t bother to educate on identifying a stroke or mention things that could increase her risk for strokes. I’m so thankful for my knowledge in the matter but my heart is broken for those
This Doctor takes Time to review the profiles of the patients. My husband and I visited his doctors office and we really love this doctor because he takes his time to check the patient and the profile and he checks the past history of the patient so he can find out what the illness is. And the first time we saw him he found out the large tonsil on child and he sent us to a specialist for the tonsil. The doctor said that my child has already had this tonsil for a couple of years now and that he needs to go under surgery. When we were in the army base, none of the doctors there found out about the large tonsil on my child's throat. My child was always sick and about three times a week we go to the emergency room because he has a hard time breathing. After the tonsil got out of his throat we don't go back to the hospital for about 8 months. Thank you so much Dr. Dixon. We love the friendly people in the front office with the big smiles that they have.
Terrible Dr., Terrible Staff, Terrible Process. After consult regarding my son, Dr. Dixon and I came up with a treatment plan. Dixon's orders were NOT consistent with the plan we had agreed on, and I, unfortunately, failed to doublecheck his orders prior to leaving the office. Very disappointed. Followed through with orders as written. My wife and I confronted Dr. Dixon regarding why the orders were NOT consistent with what was discussed. He refused to acknowledge messing up. He's never wrong.
Pros: Appointments were made & kept. Wouldn't necessarily classify those as Pro's, but that's likely the best portion of my experience. Cons: After consult regarding my son, Dr. Dixon and I came up with a treatment plan. Dixon's orders were NOT consistent with the plan we had agreed on, and I, unfortunately, failed to doublecheck his orders prior to leaving the office. Very disappointed. Stress Test: Nurse Practitioner, Colin Conner, refused to perform the modified test as Dixon and I had discussed, so, followed through with orders as written under protest (knew beforehand that the results of the typical unmodified test would be negative - negating the point of even performing the test - but we had it done anyway for the sake of moving forward). Colin flatly accused me of providing my son with improper medication (Albuterol rescue inhaler branded "Salbutamol" we acquired from Mexico to combat rising pharmaceutical costs) - I challenged him to look deeper and he discovered he was mistaken. Unbelievable!! He would actually make such an assertion regarding my management of my own childs health without looking deeper to begin with!! Wow!! Had followup visit Dixon to discuss the results. My wife and I confronted Dr. Dixon regarding why the orders were NOT consistent with what was discussed. He refused to acknowledge messing up, wasting our time and money and continued endlessly talking in circles, evading and failing to confront the mistreatment head-on. Additionally, he did NOT have the results of the x-rays that he had insisted on even though the Medical Imaging Office confirmed sending them. Office staff was cold and impersonal and had me fill out ALL of the paperwork, completely, redundantly, with each visit. As though they never had it. This on the heels of providing it all prior to ever having visited the office. Visited the office twice - provided piles of paperwork THREE times (unless you count the stress test - then four times). Mandatory. Very upsetting and wasteful. In conclusion, we left and took copies of all notes. Dr. Dixon actually took time to enter defamatory comments within the notes that were never said. Unbelievable that this guy still has a license.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
