I was referred to George Deckey by my gynecologist to have a Sebaceous Cyst removed that is located in my bra line. It is the size of a finger tip. My gynecologist made it seem like any general surgeon could assist me. It's a small job that is done daily. This is why I was shocked to have been met by Dr. Deckey declining my request to perform the surgery since he deemed it "medically unnecessary". I want it removed. It's growing. At what point will it be big enough to be "medically necessary"? When I asked what kind of doctor would remove it he just brushed it off as you can try another doctor but they may say the same. I replied, "Plastic surgeons do elective surgeries all the time, do I need to contact them?" He ended up setting an appointment for me with another general surgeon. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I will be fuming if this happens a 2nd time around. I sincerely hope Dr. Guerro will be more accomodating.
