Very caring

I've been to see Dr. Dersam twice. Both times I waited a disproportionately long time to be seen, since he's only in the office one day a week. Despite this, I found Dr. Dersam to be a friendly, caring, and knowledgable individual and would come back to him in the future. He clearly listens to his patients and you can often hear it as the patients leave the office in the way they speak with him.

My name is Jerry Boegeman,my Susanna had a fall down 6 stairs....She is 58 years old...Dr Dersum preformed a complete shoulder replacement at Dignity hospital.....We had no idea what to expect,we had no idea who Dr.Dersum even was.......But I gotta tell you he is the best.....He actually personally followed up with us......He gave us his personal phone number...... Thank you very, very much Dr.Dersum for not being self absorbed and above everyone else......Thank you Sir!!!..you are a real Doctor!!!!.....a Doctor that really cares about people......God bless you...

Absolutely fantastic in every way possible. knowledgable, compassionate, extremely interested in the patients problem and his expertise is bar none.

If I could rate negative stars, I would. Dr. Dersam replaced my left ACL with a section of my hamstring from the same leg. This is a standard, run-of-the mill procedure that had been successfully performed on my right knee by another surgeon. Once I was home, we discovered that my brace had been put on my leg backwards. Even worse, once the bandage was removed, the incision where my hamstring was removed looked like it had been cut by a drunk; It was 2x as long as it should have been and cut on

Even worse, once the bandage was removed, the incision where my hamstring was removed looked like it had been cut by a drunk; It was 2x as long as it should have been and cut on an angle in a zig-zag pattern. It scarred horribly. Worst of all, a MRI 24 months later revealed frays and tears; I had to have the procedure done again. Avoid this surgeon.

Very professional, very knowledgable and compassionate. Took time with me explaining everything in laymens terms and did not rush me out the door. Would highly recommend.

Hearing nothing but great things about Dr. Dersam, when I had to consider what orthopedic surgeon to use after sliding into home plate and compound breaking my leg/ankle along with tearing multiple ligaments and tendons he was my first choice. Because he is such a well-known and excellent doctor he is busy but if you can, I highly recommend you get him. My ankle/leg healed amazing and I was done with physical training in no time! Great doctor with amazing results!
