Nancy Bello's Online Review Report Card

Don't waste your time with this neurologist. She doesn't listen to you, talks over you and with attitude. She seems not to be able to keep up with her workload. For the first time in my life I had to walk out of a dr. office......I landed in the hospital after visiting the optometrist early October 2022 and was sent to ER due to severe visual changes and headaches. Dr. Bello was out of the country on vacation. That was fine. I was seen by a different neurologist at the hospital that had put me on driving restrictions and to be released by my neurologist Dr. Bello. At the hospital they tried doing 2 spinal taps to check pressure of some kind, they thought it was something to do with my eye pressure. Not sure as I never worked in the medical field. Came out of hospital. Following day was seen by a specialist at Southwestern Eye that said my eyeballs look in good health. Dr. Donaldson thinking perhaps headaches, and visual changes were neurological related and wants to refer me to phx for a specialist. Dr. Bello wanted to do a 3rd spinal tap on me when her staff had called just the day before and had assured me that Dr. Bello would discuss different options instead of a spinal tap (I've had spinal fusion done L5, S1 2017). This doctor practically almost yelled at me and said "I never said there were other options!" and had came in stating that I had only had one spinal tap done. I had to tell her twice as she insisted I had only one ?? I was confused and wondered if she even had reviewed my case. After I insisted somewhat and stood my ground and reminded her how much worse my back pain is now because of them, yes I did get a little emotional as I felt attacked, disrespected in the way she was yelling at me. In that same visit this doctor was already upset when coming in to see me. I had proceeded to ask if she could please remove the driving restrictions that previous neurologist Dr. Charles ER neurologist had inputed on ER notes. Tried to inform Dr. Bello that I wasn't seein dark veil on peripheral, but was cut short...I had to stand due to my back pain and she then again said "I refuseto talk to you If you will not sit down" I tried to explainthat I was in extreme pain....this Dr. Bello replied "well I'm NOT a pain specialist!!!"...I was shocked, disappointed, upset, sad...I had trusted this doctor to help me. Total Let Down 💔. Summary....Landed in hospital early 10/22. Dr. Bello didn't even follow up until I had to go for my pain relieving shot that it wasn't till my specialist at Dr. Curry, pain specialist office couldn't give me pain shot due to calcification malformation they found in my frontal lobe that this Dr. Bello says there's nothing for me to worry about yet my headaches are now far worse than ever before. I suffered my first seizure 12/2021...this Dr. Bello wanted me to take Keppra 500mg am and pm along with Topiramate 75mg am and pm .....it was just too much for me. No sensation down there. Made me depressed......Also figured out the peripheral disturbances that I was getting when getting up from bed, or even when laying down at night time was from taking Meloxicam 15mg that was being prescribed by my Rheumatologist. People please read up on your medications!!! ***SHOUT OUT TO LIL BLANCA ❤ ALWAYS SO KIND. THANK YOU!!!*** ***Dr. Bello if you cannot do your job please do the right thing and step down and let someone else take over. It's hard, I know. That is all. Dr. Bello always takes time to listen and answer all my questions. Very professional, kind, helpful and friendly.

Dr Bello is great!! She actually listens to what I have to say and she is very compassionate. She is very kind. And she seems to want to get to the bottom of things.

It is very refreshing to visit a professional office and have EVERYTHING go as well as it did. Very little wait time. Staff is friendly, courteous and actually glad you're there. Dr. Bello is WONDERFUL!!

Dr. Bello was kind, empathetic and had a lovely bedside manner. She never rushed and really explained her plan very well. She asked permission for testing and completed it very timely. I had answers at my first appointment, and then she went above and beyond to assist with another concern. She is truly an asset to our community. Thank you for the most excellent care

Has cancelled on me multiple times. Haven't even met this provider yet. I've been waiting to see this provider for almost two years. Yuma is a let down when you need medical attention. Your health doesn't matter here

I appreciate having a quick, efficient visit that includes a basic physical assessment and a discussion with the doctor about my medications. Dr. Bello listens to what I have to say or questions I ask, and she provides the answers in a way I can understand.

She was very experienced, patient, very good doctor. She took the time to ask me questions and gave me answers. I really like this especialist. I would definitely recommend her to anybody

Nancy is very caring and takes the time to answer all of our questions. We are so blessed to have her care for my husband. She gives us very good information on what to expect and provided helpful resources for us that will help to manage his illness. She is a keeper!
